Borderlands 2 [PS3, X360]

Yeah, I wish I had! All my PC gaming friends are not interested in this game :( but after seeing the PhysX video comparison, it was clear what to do :)

I haven't bought the game yet, but I'd coop with you if we could sync up, I'm on GMT-8 timezone. I don't play as much as you so I'd probably fall behind though...

I was speaking with a friend yesterday and he said he really enjoyed Borderlands playing our 3 player coop game online, but didn't get into it in single player at all.
I don't know about Borderlands 2 but I wasn't a raving fan either, and in fact I found it to be one of the games I disliked the most this generation.

Sure, I played it a few times, it was fun, but it didn't rock my world. I still would rather play a different game, listen to the radio or read a book.

With Borderlands 2 this might change, it seems to be a better game, but I know I wouldn't get into it because of different reasons that don't have anything to do with the game, which by the way is receiving amazing scores.

Yeah, I tried the slots a few times and, just like real life, found it to be a waste of money.

By the way, there is a weapon chest in Sanctuary's portal room, but I can't open it. When I try, it says something like "Can't afford". What's up with that? Do I need one of those "golden keys" I hear people talking about?

Yes, golden key is necessary.

Brit and I played the "Pizza mission" like three times today with different people. I gotta say it was fun every time. The missions seem to have a lot of replayability.

By the way, a Siren is a great character to have in co-op. The Siren's action skill is fantastic for immobilizing tough enemies while the other characters just unload on it. Very effective.

Just got to L10 and half way through the Roland mission. Some parts seem a little unbalanced especially the bullet sponges. I like the new raging enemies, reminds of serious Sam. The incidental music sounds similar to the music from timesplitters 2.
Enjoying it so far.

I got two souped up pistols from it. Both were bandit models with fire enhancements. I get a feeling I would have waited a little longer before I used my key.

Hey! Would be cool! My timezone is GMT +2 at the moment...ha ha ha, that is tough!

I have a free weekend, and play the sh*** out of this great game, but I guess we still can coop with different levels, once you got the game?!?

The game is FANTASTIC ! Absolutely !

Is there a way to change ur character's customisation, like head, after the initial selection? My melee ninja Zero looks super cool but my Siren Phaser needs a head change !

I'm starting to get a little bit disappointed in Zero's deception skill. It's very different from Lilith's phasewalk. You only get 5 seconds to hit a target, and you're only invisible. Meaning you'll still be hit by enemy fire because they are trying to shoot the hologram. And if don't go straight towards your target you'll run out of time.

I have the execution skill now and it's not what I expected. I was hoping for some kind of special finishing move, but it's merely a longer range melee attack. It's not even that strong, only about twice as powerful as hit from my rocketlauncher.

Spending points on melee has made my regular melee attack useful though. Good for all those bandits that try the same thing.

Just rescued Roland (god dammit, that was a tough mission!) and got the Bore skill for my sniper Zero...I hope there is some ammo regen ability down the road, because the rescue mission forced me to use smg's, rocket launcher, pistols and assault rifle, i.e. everything I got and not just one of my three sniper rifles :)

PS: I hardly use deception, maybe now that Bore shows me the weak spot I will use it...

I've just figured out how to make the Roland mission easier. When you do the elements weapons testing in sanctuary, don't compete just leave with the elemental weapon of your choice. Same with the zed mission for the first erydium weapon.

And also the fact that once u disappear and run towards the enemey to melee him, once u melee him and the you re-appear, u r right in the middle of the enemy group and get pounded by bullets :( !

That is when I restarted with the Siren character.

I only move in for a melee attack when my enemy's health is low. Otherwise, it's usually a death sentence for me. But yeah, Zero's melee attack is pretty disappointing overall.

I was going to mention this as well. It seems we were all suckered by Zero, as was mentioned above, I rarely use deception either. It seems completely worthless compared to the skills of the others.

I have also spent most of my points in the melee tree and that is still way under powered. I guess theres still hope that his skills grow with him and make him a good late game character but the early returns are very disappointing. Think about giving up and restarting as well.

It's an awkward combination, a sniper and melee specialist. I'm going to keep playing as Zero. Hopefully his melee becomes better with more points invested in it. If not, I can always respec into the sniper tree.

True but it worked better last game.

Im going to respec this morn myself and see how that works. But it really feels like playing without a special abiliity. All its good for is retreating and hiding for health regen. Lame.

Add me to the list of Zero victims.

Another complaint I have is that when you trigger the ability it seems interrupt running and it can be slow to get running turned back on. At least on the PS3 in any case.

Also, anyone else find the dialogue he spits out during deception mode particularly annoying?

How hilarious. / You just set off my trap card -- / Your death approaches.

More like "How infuriating! Deception ran out and I am stuck in the middle of a pack of BadAsses -- my death approaches.[/QUOTE]

=)

Cheers
