That's true, but I wasn't coming to a conclusion so much as questioning those who had come to a conslusion that GOW is the best looking game yet. If GOW has reduced scope to increase detail, it's a tradeoff, and so technically isn't better than other games. And as yet, we haven't seen any larger scope within GOW to suggest they haven't made those tradeoffs. Or putting it another way, how can we claim GOW is the best looking next gen title if we haven't proven it carries the same detail into large and more complex areas?common sense is to not come to a conclusion without having the proper amount of data .
I was just using it as a shorthand term to mean 'all the other aspects to a game that make demands on the graphical systems that this footage isn't showing', if that makes sense. Sure, we can piecemeal consider every aspect, and if we want to get into a technical analysis of this game we should do that. Though we can't do that until we get this game in the full to compare. If it has got epic battle situations like HS, we can't compare them until we've seen themto be honest I think your comment about scope isn't qualatative. range of view, amount of object, animation of those objects are seperate areas to discuss, you can't throw all of those together.
Such an analsis would be something for after it's and other titles release that we want to compare it to, where we can get surgical and dissect the game to try and determine objectively which is the best looking next-gen game out there - if such a thing is possible! Though I dare say it isn't. eg. We can technically compare GodOW to Okami, but how can we objectively award one the title of 'best looking PS3 game'?
