Battlefield 4 official discussion/thread. [PS4,XO,PS3,X360]

If you buy BF4 on the ps3 , your stats will carry over when u play on the ps4 and so will ur premium membership, if u bought one.
No incentives for transitioning from ps3 version to ps4 version, though. I mean some kindof discount should be announced. But then, is anyone getting it for the ps3? They haven't really shown what it will look like on the current gen consoles.
I guess this is the final nail in the coffin that nextgen consoles wont be running 1080p/60fps bf4 then. Otherwise they would include that beautiful "full HD 1080p" next to the 60fps stamp in a heartbeat. How very disappointing.

For a launch title hitting 5 different platforms at nearly the same time, I'm willing to accept 720p for 60fps and ultra detail on next gen consoles.

There is a direct path for personal interactions to produce blowback for individual and the organization, as well.
Sony might enjoy the little flash in the pan against Microsoft, but they would probably take note of it as well.

The next time they throw a little temper tantrum for the world to see, they might be angry about something Sony did.

I would recommend being a rock-star in the game industry that is somehow irreplaceable, because what's the likely outcome if a regional manager for Microsoft makes an angry call to Corporate Central otherwise? It's not like there isn't a public record of that employee shooting their mouth off about a partner company.

Did I miss something? What happened?

I initially responded to a post linking to a news story about some developers going on Twitter and slamming Microsoft after it reduced the number of launch countries.

I'm not sure what happened.

edit:
And now this post is in the BF4 thread.
Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

PS4 'The Easy Choice' Says Battlefield 4 Developers.

I would feel like them if I were them. So I agree with BF4 developers. The thing is... it has nothing to do with considering Nordic countries more or less developed (they are among the best countries in the whole world, quality of life-wise).

It has more to do with the fact that they are small countries and there is nothing you can do about that.

I used to criticise Sony in the past 'cos I thought they used to treat Europeans like shit when they launched the PlayStation in Asia and USA first, but nobody cared and it was a success in Europe.

Sweeden, Finland and Norway, are ideal places to live, that's not the issue here. The install base has certain potential but it's a small install base. IT hurst anyways though.

Cheers

Assumption time, but if BF4 is schedule to release on PS4/X1 before 2014, then if you want to play BF4 on a next-gen console in the Nordics before 2014. Then PS4 is the obvious choice, unless the PS4 also gets delayed.

Whats the controversy about? Except for some news site trying to increase the traffic to their website?

I finally got around to watching the BF4 video on XBox Live. I gotta say it didn't look very impressive. Perhaps I've been playing too many PC games lately.
