    "Someone:"

    1) Get a pic of the full card
    2) Get a close-up of those ram chips. ;)

This particular model looks to be single DVI, unfortunately.

The XNA demonstration boxes (that used R420 cards), included the demonstration of using X-box controllers to show the new input capability when using XNA.

That demonstration pic looks like the "crash" XNA demo.

using Xbox controllers on PC hasnt been exactly difficult either..
get a adaptor, or just swap the cable, which is USB but with a different looking connector..
there is even some driver for it somewhere..

but if it was officially supported, so much the better, specially for Xbox ported games developed for the Xbox and not the PC..

No, it's a close-up of the bottom half of their Radeon Gargoyle Guy. (See the 9800 clock demo)

    No, I'm not. I'm a hardcore hardware enthusiast. 8)

I just think I got a much better shot at owning an R420 before an nV40 for some weird reason. (HINT: nVidia has blacklisted me, but I'm still on friendlies with ATi ;) )

I was guessing it'd be around 500/600, but I was sort of hoping for an 500/833 if they could get enough of it in time.

Could you just freaking imaging 1666Mhz memory? On the tea-time card?

Fuck, I'd have to buy myself one!

Ya, I know about the USB adaptors, though why do it? Guess it is just more of a PR stunt than anything else as wouldn't a mouse be enough?

Thought there may have been more to get excited about than what it actually is, that's all. :)

It could also be they didn't want anyone monkeying around/crashing their game demo on the floor so they just left two controllers accessible to play the demo with. (That's what I'd do.)

BabelFish does a good job translating the whole thing. Use Chinese-trad to English.

It's really hard to see, but I'd say that's the sort of connector you find on motherboards to plug the CD audio cable in... :?: I remember seeing those on other VGAs as well some time ago ( maybe on a nonpro 9600 or something like that ). I have no idea what it's for though.

it is referring to using DDR3 and skipping DDR2 altogether (for the required 500MHz to 600MHz Memory clock)

this paragraph is not refering to the Core clock of the r420.
