Qualcomm Snapdragon X CPUs & the first "AI PC" laptops were all the hype a few weeks back but it looks like actual adoption isn't as great.

Maybe better chance at gaining share at Christmas as consumers hear more about improved performance and battery life. Though these devices seem to be higher priced than the basic Windows laptops.

I wonder, the Nuvia guys left Apple to make server chips until Qualcomm acquired them. They end up back to working on laptop SOCs, which presumably they’d be doing now if they stayed at Apple.

Maybe they didn’t get enough stock grants at Apple as much as other chip designers which Apple had acquired, though even with just employee stock purchases they’d easily have 8-figures in stock by now as Apple stock is currently benefiting from the AI — Apple Intelligence that is — hype.

Or Qualcomm made them rich already if they really believe they can get 50% market share in Windows laptops.

Was predictable, I just don't understand why Microsoft keeps banging their head against the wall like this. Do they think Arm has such good PR they have to follow?

They'd be better off paying AMD and Intel for SoCs designed for memory on MCM and working on their software.
