well, no, nvidia never did that...
They just ignore the issue, and continue to present the "optimization".

I would like someone to test in say, SS:SE, what you get when setting Trilinear/AF IN THE GAME, not in the control panel.

I am all for such optimizations AS LONG AS THEY HAVE A SWITCH TO TURN THEM OFF.

I say that because I can notice the brilinear "optimizations" on the GFFX series. Yeah, in game. Once you notice em, its like those two damn grey lines on a Trinitron tube - impossible to not notice.

Yup, AIW 9600 pro & 9700 pro currently in use and some older ones in a drawer. I also have some Voodoo & nVidia stuff in there, and I think some Verite as well. (And I got a GF2 mx400 & GF4 ti4400 running currently too in gaming rigs)

Well to be honest I'd really love it if they'd fix alpha blending in AA for GTA:VC....but other than that not really.

To be honest with you I don't think I even fully understand what this is all about yet...it's another reason I'm waiting to hear from ATi, just to give me brain a chance to catch up!
