I distinctly remember that carrier section from your last shot. Go to the left and there's a misty room with light coming through the door. The volumetric lighting there is to die for. (I got killed while I was staring at it )

and FRAPS messes up my sound as well :devilish:!
I mean, the sound is never in sync with video !!!
Any ways to overcome it?

Just got Warhead today ! Got so engrossed in playing that forgot to take any screenies !
Here is some from later levels:

Looking splendid!

About FRAPS, you use Vista to?

Beautifully!

Say you play in DX9 mode, becouse you can enable AA in DX10. Aint cheap but 2xAA should help quite a bit.

Rawr!

Great model work for HL2 Cinematic Mod 9.5. Nice to see overall uppgrades to for textures, shading etc.

Very pretty indeed! Loved the game too.

Do you get weird blocky shadows every now and then? Such a minor nitpick I know, but it stands out to me since the rest of the game is so darn incredible, . Similar to an 'uncanny valley' effect I guess.

I could put images up but they wont never do it justice so I'll put up youtube videos of my particle enhance mod. Particles in motion with physics and full world collision detection must be seen in motion etc. Be sure to watch the HD versions.

Been a rough day at work? Just load it up in HD and relax!

Bad day? Enjoy then!

You call that cell shading :D

Haven't tried it on my 4870 but on my 2900xt's, I couldn't play XIII... Most of the gameworld was just a black mess and it would crash at a certain point after the introduction area (when you're trying to walk along the beach I think).

Any ideas what that was about?

Not my screens but these are definitely worth posting. Some of these have got to be the most photorealistic shots I've ever seen:

I suggest actually following the links there to all the sources as this just gives you a taste of what there.

Edit: There's also this video I found of a guy who recreated an early Killzone 2 CG trailer on the CryEngine2

Heh, that's what Crysis would look like with a high level of full scene supersampling. Notice the lack of an FPS counter.

CE2 supports offline rendering for screenshots, which is what I suspect he was doing. Impressive nonetheless; he seem to have a very good handle on the editor and the ToD settings.

How about a remake of the KZ2 2005 trailer in realtime :p

Yup you can take high than your res screenshots aka bullshots. But the rest is exactly what would be done ingame without problems. :)

That KZ2 trailer... still alpha/WIP but OMG. Looks better minus the polygons and some small stuff. He might do the same explosions thickness/type etc but it will shave of some amount of framerate.

I'll bet some indoor scenes with the high quality indirect lighting lightsource option (as opposed to moderate use in Crysis) would make things look even more amazing. Lots of ray bounces to lit up scene. Although it is very expensive for outdoors (lots of veg etc for rays to bounce on before bounce limit) indoor it is all good. I had 4 indirect lightsoruces at same spot and it had moderate/low perfomance impact (fleet map from SP). 60 -> 52fps.

Just to demonstrate the power of bullshots in CE2, I took a pedestrian shot from the beginning of the last mission in Warhead. This is just with stock Enthusiast settings in DX10; keep in mind I didn't go out of my way to find a godly location to showcase the engine's potential.

Rendered at 5120x3200 with 16xCSAA, then downsampled to 1440x900 with a Lanczos filter. It took a few seconds to render and the file was originally 48MB. :p

And again rendered at 1440x900 with 16xCSAA.

I could have fun with this.
