Circuit City will begin selling a limited supply of Xbox 360 bundles on http://www.circuitcity.com beginning 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, 2005. These units will ship on 11/21/2005; customers who opt to pay extra for next-day delivery can do so to get their Xbox in their homes on 11/22/2005.

We are not selling them earlier in our stores; I apologize for the misinformation you received from the call center. We will have Xbox 360 units for sale in all Circuit City stores nationwide beginning 10 a.m. local time on 11/22/2005. They are first-come, first-served as we did not allow any preorders.

My understanding is that some Circuit City's will be selling standalone consoles on Nov 22nd at open, and some will actually be waiting until Black Friday.

I think the plan is, they'll probably be the only ones with appreciable stocks, and they will get people in their stores by the boatlod in order to upsell themon everything else. I was shocked actually when I called a CC in my area and got this launch date from them. CC man, they're nefarious the way they're playing the whole 360 launch. Today's online pre-order was a fiasco.

That only solves the cold part, so that 1/2 problems. Honestly Ill sit in the cold for 5 hours or so to guarantee a Premium.

Wow, those numbers just seem crazy. Truthfully I almost feel as if the fact yours is getting 8 rather than more does more to confirm this story than deny it. I mean three is just *too* few.

Which is pretty scary if really these Wal-Marts are getting so few.

I am going to say those numbers are off. I talked to my old co-workers at CompUSA a couple days ago and the two stores I went to will be getting 16 360s and one store will get 4 cores while the other will get 5. So if a non-gaming computer store like Comp is getting 20/21, I would assume the devil incarnate AKA Wal-Mart will be getting more.
