An strange Revolution theory.

tomorow will be nintendo press conference in paris, probably they will talk about the EURO DS launch and maybe some bits about revolution . altough the latter is wild guessing

Knowing Nintendo, they'll talk about DS launch and dick about revolution other than perhaps saying they'll announce further details at a later date.

Yup, thats the most likely scenario, I even doubt Nintendo will reveal that much about Revolution next e3.

Well, last E3 they said "[it] will be present in some form at the next E3". What some form really is, is debatable, though

It was a surprising unveiling IIRC, it wasn't expected to happen at that time, it came out of nowhere. Nintendo might be doing the same with Revolution, if the rumor is true. Anyway we just have to wait until tomorrow :)

Goodness the 21 is obvious

Of course its only obvious if you live in the US. It goes like this, people have been asking for a more mature console and its been 21 years since the NES has been released. Well now in the US that means Nintendo consoles are old enough to drink! And we all know how mature drinking is!

It needs the best eyeball available since alcohol screws with vision and well as it drinks its going to want to get some petting action on with another console of course which is the obvious real translation for rub.

Alright I'm a little bored this morning but I'm sure you all feel more enlightened based on this ;)

I can believe the stuff about the exotic controllers?

Maybe even the HDD.

But online gaming from Nintendo?

Not bloody likely! :devilish:

Walkie Talkie? They might come back!! They'll just have to patent the technology from Fisher Price, and poof, "online gaming" right there!!

Actually I found the online part to be the most believable, considering Iwata's comments how online gaming is going to become really big within the next ~3 years.

Iwata will most likely make a statement tomorrow in Paris, at the European DS launch event. :)

Oy! I found a better translation of this (courtesy of a nice fellow by the name of jonnyram):

No idea how true this is, but if it's true, it is to be announced on 27th (supposedly)

- Name of machine is "Nintendo 21"
- planned for release at end of 2005
- medium is 2-sided 8cm disc, 5.4GB capacity, in a shellcase
- includes "Home Game function" which uses IEEE protocol to locate and communicate with other Nintendo 21s in the vicinity
- "Home Game function" is free, connect the AC adaptor and the machine talks to nearby Nintendo 21s and "Nintendo Home"s (? could be Form instead of Home - katakana is vague). Save data is stored on the main unit and affects other machines over the network.
- "Nintendo Home" machine is like a base station that will be put in many places and uses the PHS network for communication (popular mobile phone network). Will connect to handheld game machines and supports "Home Game function", also sends latest info from Nintendo.
- "Nintendo Home" is being jointly developed with Kyosera.
- controller is like GC controller but "rubbing" is possible - e.g. you can control movement in a game by rubbing the controller/buttons. Also the controller has a slot.
- The whole controller is pressure sensitive. So rubbing can be done with the buttons or via grip.
- Digital outputs included

To tell you the truth, I do believe it. I was joking in my previous post but now that the information is clearer it really matches up with the vague hints from Nitendo people in interviews.

Damn rubbing the controller? At least it makes more sense better translated.

But still I can't think of real great uses for rubbing.

Hmmm would that media size make it mini HD-DVD?
