So I guess i'll be going with a 5950X and a 6900XT ToXic if it ever gets released.

The 128MB cache array was quite well spread along the die edges, judging from the die-shot mockup.

But wait, on screen ray-traced reflections?

  8. I'm already guessing that higher clocked 3rd party 6800XT cards will get very close to the 6900XT, if not surpass it.

So they ignored ray tracing performance. And they "hinted" at new "super resolution" tech.

I'm surprised that for once, the online AMD hype has held up through the product presentation. It's been well over a decade since AMD can even approach the performance crown across a wide range of applications. Exciting times.

    At what power? 350w?
Edit- Guessing AMD will require pricing of at least +$799 or so unless they are allowing custom 6900XT cards.

Looks very good. I wish there was ray tracing enabled benchmarks shown as ray tracing is main reason I want to upgrade from 1080ti. 1080ti is just fine for non ray traced games still. 3090 might be dead on it's current pricepoint if 6900xt is good at blender&other professional apps.

    It didn't? 6800XT trading blows with 3080 and 6800 easily beating 2080Ti/3070.
    Edit- according to AMD numbers.

They showed only a slide in 1440p, but it was for a very small time on screen. My impression was that 6800XT peroformed better, comparatively, at that resolution. Well, this without the "secret sauce" i think.

Very impressed with AMD's presentation. Looking forward to the independent reviews!

Also, AMD have given themselves some space to dust off the good ol' "XTX" suffix for any countermeasures by Nvidia. :-D
6900 XTX -- my old X1900 XTX is smiling from the grave haha.
