[360] Crackdown 2

You just described MW2's MP at times.

I haven't had that issue with MW2 in team matches. I have only had people spawn behind me in TDM a couple times, although in TDM in the flat, open levels where people have thermals it can be brutal. IMO TDM sucks in most games.

Anyhow, you had a rough first go. Maybe you won't give up. Hope you stick around to learn how it differs from Halo.

Btw, playing in our 5-8 person groups is a BAD idea. When most of us only have played a handful of maps and are sub-20 rank you are still learning the ropes; in large parties you end up against clans that know the maps and are working together. While we aren't always getting creamed I notice overall, and most rounds, guys are below 1:1 KDR. Playing more open matches in pairs of similar skill level would be more forgiving. Seeing you with 2 hours into MP playing guys with 2-3 days can be brutal.

Just like Halo starting off :p

I know how it differs from H3, and I'm not saying it's a bad game. I think it just doesn't suit my prefered play style, which is more "run and gun".

So, how about that Crackdown 2?

Saying that some other game is die-respawn-die-respawn isn't invalid, but that Crackdown video, I dunno. I'm not a fan of CoD MP, but it's not because I think it's bad, just not for me. Meanwhile the video for C2 kinda sorta did look bad. Maybe the players just sucked.

That said, there's something weird about how the hype for this game is being handled. When it was announced, people couldn't be more hyped. But it seems that with every piece of media you have folks (even fans of the original, like NavNucST3) going 'ehhh, I dunno'.

New trailer...

Song was cute. Still don't see Navnuc buying it. LOL

So, I haven't been following this as closely as i should have been. Just watched the trailer and...did I see zombies?

I thought the VGA trailer was absolutely terrible. And who wants another game with Zombies. Graphics looked...subpar too. Or at least the way they were presented made them look subpar.

I just finished reading that article above & it does help quell some of my fears regarding the freaks. As for the graphics, they touch on the reasons for why continued with the same look.

As I think I suggested before, the way the hype for this game is being handled is just terrible.

How is it handled any different than most titles? You got a teaser, then some hands-on experience, then a simple trailer. What else could have been done better? Crackdown was a great game & I'm sure they'll give it their best shot on the second. It's not some biblical holy grail that can't be messed with by us mere mortals. To suggest that they haven't hyped it more or better when they haven't even announced a release date, is just laughable.

I think I'm referring to the quality of the material released. Just look at the progression of this thread. When you created it, everyone was 'YESSSS!' Now you have a bunch of people going, 'Eh, really?'

Contrast that with the way other games work the fans into a frothy boil. In fact, a lot of games manage to build up MORE hype with each bit of media released.
