Some shooter RPG set in modern times.I'm a bit meh on LP 2 for some reason. What the hell is Alpha Protocol?

Nope, all in game. The developers said so.Gifs from the video Billy Idol linked to -it's bandwidth intensive-. Graphically wise it's at a similar level to the graphical showcases this generation like, for instance, Uncharted 2 and it features a similar art style, in my opinion.

My favourite is this one, but I am sure it's a CG. It's so human and well depicted that it has to be one of the most realistic images I've seen in videogames, along with the Silent Hill's old man -that's to say, Silent Hill 3-

The last gif, is just too good to be ingame...it has no faults or whatsoever, no visible poly edges, the water shader on the face is unlike I've ever seen before in a video game [even the one's with physics based water] etc etcNope, all in game. The developers said so.
Would be fun to know if the cutscenes in the game are 100% real time or just pre-recorded videos running on a superior machine.
EDIT:

There are like a ton of posts in that forum, I don't exactly know where to head for my answers. If you really want to know then head over to alanwake forum, you will get an answer to your questions.
With some post-processing as are most cutscenes in games. They say it's in-game and heavily post-processed. We'll see. The game is supposed to be 4x MSAA, so it could look pretty clean.
HD version here:

Even if not all of the stuff is in-game, but a cutscene....I am ultra impressed by the graphics. I assume some gamplay parts, where he fights...this just looks impressive for me and it looks like something I immediately want to play
The actual cinematics are all separate pre-rendered video files. We do have some sequences where we do what I guess could be called real-time cutscenes (like the "reveal camera" moments, for example), but percentagewise, those are definitely in the minority.
All of the cinematics have been rendered by our game engine, though. It's just that we use more high-resolution models because the camera tends to be a lot closer to the characters than during gameplay, and we throw in a bunch of post-processing to make things look very pretty.
I'm sure we've mentioned this before, but it's also worth pointing out that we do almost all of the major loading in the game during the cinematics -- I believe the only instances you will see a loading screen is when you die, and when you come back to the game after turning it off. (Unless I forgot something, but I'm pretty sure that's it.)
