2 New MMORPG's for x360

I was reading my OXM from a couple months ago and lo and behold I found a couple nuggets, they announced 2 MMORPG's for x360 that have not been announced anywhere else.

One is Vangaurd: Saga of Heroes
http://www.vanguardsoh.com/
Imagine a vast, detailed world of swords and sorcery, of dragons and knights, of fiery swords and chests overflowing with treasure; a world in which a myriad of sentient races and creatures, many of whom players will be able to base a character on, live and affect change. A place where players can follow very different paths of advancement, including assuming the roles of adventurers, crafters and merchants.
Characters will not only own buildings and vehicles, but they will also whisper into the ears of kings, manipulate the hand of justice, and change the direction of history. They will make their mark on a world we initially create but they ultimately shape and form.

Players will experience settings ranging from enjoying a drink in a tavern to walking through the streets of a bustling city. They will travel with trade caravans across deserts and they will fight pirates on the high seas. They will ascend the highest peak in the land and also explore the depths of eerie dungeons...

the other is Citizen Zero

Neither of these games are new, Vanguard is in theory an xbox, not an Xbox 360 game, and nothing has been said or done about Citizen Zero since 2004.

What's new is both these games are headed to x360, OXM is never wrong.

Consider this some inside info

While i belive its true nad its heading for the system the company that makes vanguard has been saying it over and over again that it is not .

Till they say it is , we must take it as a game that isn't coming to the platform

That's just because they are under NDA and can't speak to it. Check out the Citizen Zero forums, you'll see teh same things, NDA, can't talk.

Anyways, I just wanted to giv you guys the heads up, OXM has listed both of these as "xbox next" titles, back when it was still called xbox next.

Now a few months later it's all super hush hush, but I think It's safe to say you can expect to seem them on x360.

This is good news! Both these games sound very fun.

So your telling me that hte company making the game is under nda frm themselves saying they have to deny working on a xbox 360 version ?

Come on your being naive .

whatever don't call me naive. It's completely possible the publisher (microsoft) has asked them to keep the x360 launch a secret. I'm not basing this on nothing, Official Xbox Magazine stated this was a x360 title.

I'm all for listening, feel free to disagree, but don't call me naive, it's a very plausible theory.

Wardevil is currently udner NDA regarding it's launch console.
Citizen-Zero is currently under NDA regarding the launch console

Yet somehow I'm naive for thinking a game published by MGS, is also under NDA?

I will call you naive . Naive for beleive that the publisher has any say to what platform the developer develops on . The developer looked for a publisher that would meet thier goals . Currently vanguard is to be published for the pc only

Just like soe published swg and eq2 yet neither are planed for last gen or next gen systems .

Vanguard will not be on Xbox360. At least not at launch or this year. This has been confirmed by the leading producers over at the Sigil forums innumerable times. Not in a "No comment" kind of way, but flat out.

Vanguard isn't being developed for xbox 360 but you can pretty much rest assured it'll make its way there eventually. They even talk about controlling it with an xbox controller (w/ attached kb) in the FAQ.

Actually, SWG was planned for both PS2 and xbox but later cancelled. Also, SOE didn't publish SWG. It was published by LucasArts and developed by SOE.

alright then replace swg with planetside or everquest 1

MS already has two MMOs planned for 360 (Marvel RPG and unnamed Realtime Worlds title) which they're probably going to be putting their full weight behind. This is on top of all the third party games announced and rumored (FFXI, Huxley, APB, NCSoft title, etc..). It seems like there's going to be a full plate already without Vanguard being brought into the mix.

don't put words in my mouth man.

I never said the publisher told them what console t orelease on, just that they could be under NDA.

You made the argument that "Why woould a company put itself under NDA, you are Naive", I responded with "The publisher is MGS, they could've requested a NDA" and then your response is "Your naive for thinking MS forced Sigil to release on x360"...whaaa? That's quite the leap in my logic....

When did I say that?

Your argument that they couldn't be under NDA is proven false by the simple fact that many games slated for next-gen consoles are currently under NDA regarding the patform for release.

Also, if they are releasing on x360, then they would have to adhere to any NDA that microsoft requested.

No you used the fact that mgs was the publisher as more proof that it will come out . However its not proof and your naive to believe that as I gave examples of sony games never coming out on the ps2

No your just not putting my responses to what they are in response to .

Mgs can not request an nda on a game that they are not developing . Its sigils game. They are the ones who create ndas . Ms can't silence them. Only they can . Yet they have been out spoken on the subject of a xbox 360 response and they have said its not going to happen anytime soon if ever

Go ahead and list them .

Err no . I don't know any developer producing an xbox 360 game that would be happy with ms telling them they ca'nt create hype ofr thier game . Sigil can certianly confirm or deny (which they have done many times ) if the game is heading to xbox 360

War Devil for one, they've stated the reason they can't name the console is due to NDA.

Citizen-Zero as well. I had found a post by one of their mods citing NDA, but I can't find it now, and I'm not going to serach anymore cause I really don't care that much. The fact remains it was originally an XBOX game, that's been scratched, and they refuse to release any clarification on the console version, despite the fact we know it's still in development.

Why won't both these games simply come out and state they are x360 games? Why? Why not start hyping right now? These aren't unnamed projects, there's no reason to veil them in secrecy, so why not confirm?

It's because MS is trying to save some big guns for closer to the release.
