I agree with Xbd and Heavenly. Shane absolutely dominated this show and it was almost like everyone else was afraid to disagree with anything he said. Everyone just nodded their head as he rambled on and on. What is his position at Ziff Davis by the way?
Shane could has been positive about PS3 without going with ****** wordings. I mean "xbox am cry" or Trusty Bell is a DC game i mean come on, leave this to gaf or other boards.
Since Shane is a boob and an obvious troll/fanboi, lets flip the table:
You gonna take the stance that Trusty Bell looks like a DC title?
<snip>I agree Ken's keynote was outright boring, and that sony needs to give us actual information on the launch details,<snip>
I don't know about that! Unless they openly said that they "hesitantly" went along with Shane, it sounds like you're really reaching to discredit the guy. I'm sure if someone disagreed with him, they would've spoken up no doubt.I too felt when watching the video that shane basically took over and people were hesitantly agreeing with him

Yes, he's fanboi-ish with some of this terminology ("Xbots am cry"), but while "Xbots" around the world may not be happy with him, I found him quite entertaining. Think about it. He was pretty spot on saying that SONY had a great show. The rest of his comments, however colourful, we can just filter out (as per XBD's post).
You seem to confuse a keynote with a press conferance if you are implying that you wanted more PS3 info during the keynote.
It seems your perception is vastly different from that of most people. Level5's RPG, 1080p/60fps RR7, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Gran Turismo HD, MGS4 gameplay trailer, the list goes on.i mean he actually said the Xbox didn't show anything new or that we wouldn't expect, but the same could be said of PS3 for the show. We knew about everything before hand.

OTOH, Microsoft didn't show 30fps Forza 2 and 10-hour SP/8-player MP Gears Of War at the show floor and only had a chat with the press at a hotel. They had a pre-show conference to show off Sakaguchi's 2 RPGs and HD DVD though. So this is the way Microsoft, 1 year since the Xbox 360 launch, consciously chose for their TGS exhibition.

True, for most of the games on the show it was known well before that they were coming. However there was a lot of new material for these known games:level 5's RPG wasn't know about before hand? I'm fairly sure this game was annouced a while ago. GT HD and a new metal gear solid trailer wasn't known about before hand? I don't even consider the ninja gaiden remake something new. It's not a new game but an old with updated graphics and a few new features. let me be clear on this. i'm not talking about games we knew about that just hadn't seen yet. MS had some of those too.
The point I'm making, sony didn't introduce any serious new games we didn't already expect before the show started (unless you want to throw ninja gaiden in there). Shane made the comment that MS ddn't show anything new or bring anything new to the party, but as far as games goes, what did sony bring that was new? Other than a remake, all the other titles were expected.
