Seeing as there is no apparent news of a 7950 GTX (only 7950 GT, so far), i can see where this might lead.

7900 GTX -> G80 "lite"
7950 GX2 -> G80 "full-mega-super-duper"

it wouldnt be unheard of to move the names around. NVDA has done it a few times.

I think I'll skip 7900GS and wait for another midrange like G83 or even G93. My 6600GT is still good for anything I have, unless pushed up to 1600x1200, 4x AA, 16x aniso... But if it drops to $130, I'd probably buy it, just to run 3DMark06 demo
