Probably, but also this a game at 4K which is notoriously hard to run on the GPU. Back in the day it was a killer. The absolute minimum amount of effort was put into this.
This looks terrible with obvious TAA blur.without film grain
So maybe the 4k/40fps mode still uses TAA ?This looks terrible with obvious TAA blur.
This one looks much better with no TAA blur like all games using PSSR showed until now.
Cash grabs are a wonderful thing. You have shiny new toy, we have the means to showcase it.I find it rather shite that the devs of Callisto never integrated DLSS on PC (FSR 2 looks awful in this title) and yet they come out with a PS5Pro update about 2 years later. Priorities...
Rather clear with this one that this was AMD blocking NVIDIA's DLSS. I hate those kinds of practices, especially from AMD who simply lock out users from a much better software. I also dislike when NVIDIA does it, but most of us don't care about FSR when we have DLSS. However, it sucks for AMD users and owners of older NVIDIA cards.I find it rather shite that the devs of Callisto never integrated DLSS on PC (FSR 2 looks awful in this title) and yet they come out with a PS5Pro update about 2 years later. Yeah at the same time NVIDIA is blocking DLSS fron existing on non-NVIDIA hardware. Patents are garbage. I would say that NVIDIA's block of DLSS on other hardware has caused some retaliation from AMD with them making deals that block DLSS usage in games. Which sucks too.Rather clear with this one that this was AMD blocking NVIDIA's DLSS. I hate those kinds of practices, especially from AMD who simply lock out users from a much better software. Yea, it's not clear what arrangements were made with Playstation but, the game was at one point given out on PS Plus. Personally speaking, if I were managing the studio behind this game, I wouldn't waste time implementing DLSS on PC when the financial return will be terrible. The game had a peak of 17k and tbf, the game isn't very good. There's no catalyst on PC that would lead to new sales. On playstation, there is so it's not surprising.I find it rather shite that the devs of Callisto never integrated DLSS on PC (FSR 2 looks awful in this title) and yet they come out with a PS5Pro update about 2 years later. Even without the higher PC settings and hardware AA/Nvidia features? It has been a while so you may be right.Probably, but also this a game at 4K which is notoriously hard to run on the GPU. Back in the day it was a killer.

Tried it last night, looks great but Jesus what a shit game.Another great PS5 Pro patch with Callisto protocol.
Almost locked 60fps and nice RT reflections that don't disappear when you look down a bit... He found the 8K30fps and 4K40fps modes a bit pointless.
Then don’t go making an even worse version than the ps5 and leaving people with no options. If you’re gonna make an official pro version, put the fucking effort in. They know they’re getting some extra sales from these patches, especially from a much larger ps5 fanbase.XSX is underutilised and sometimes delivers disappointing performance due in part to it not being PS5 nub. I'm not sure we should hate on developers for the even more minority PS5 Pro - despite its power - not being fully utilised as a secondary or tertiary target.
DLSS requires the same inputs as FSR and XeSS. And PSSR seems to require the same inputs too, while not being as good as DLLS.
Not implementing DLSS when the game is already generating the necessary inputs is eye wateringly stupid. It's the kind of thing talented indy's mod in.
I am calling it now, we are max 2 vids away before NXGamer will claim that ps5pro is faster than 4090.Another great PS5 Pro patch with Callisto protocol.

The algorithms are locked and patented. Running on dedicated cores certainly helps, but having DLSS free, opens the opportunity for optimization and utilization by other vendors. It becomes a choice and an option for more hardware. Right now it is almost a standard nobody is allowed to access unless they own an NVIDIA.Not the same thing, dlss is running on the tensor cores. AMD gpu's lack this sort of hardware so dlss could run on AMD hardware but it would be too slow?
