MICROSOFT'S new Xbox 360 sold over 30,000 units in its first four days on sale in Australia, new figures from industry analyst GfK show.

The result saw the Xbox 360 wrest the crown for best-selling games console launch from Sony's PSP, which sold over 27,000 units on debut in September last year. GfK reported an average of 2.6 game titles sold with each console, giving credence to anecdotal reports of an average $960 total purchase by Xbox 360 buyers.

If I am not mistaken Xbox did better in Australia (on an adjusted per-capita basis) than anywhere else in the world, even better than the North America.
