Xbox 360 slim DVD drive replacement.

Hi, my Xbox 360s DVD drive broke so i brought a new one off of eBay but the DVD drive didn't come with a PCB so i took out the pcb from my old DVD drive and put it into my new one. The Xbox notices it is a DVD drive but it does not read any disks can someone pleas help.

You're better off not attempting to do the repair yourself due to the way the security measures are handled on the XB360, unless you have the time to read up on the additional steps that need to be done as well as the additional hardware tools needed.

you cant just do that. the board the drive and the X360 OS need to be in "sync". Last time im replacing X360 dvd drive, i need to "clone" the ID or something with PC.

sorry its been years, i dont really remember.
