I think MS did a really great job with the design of the place.

Very stylish. Seems like there will be a lot of different faceplates specifically for the Japanese market too.

Mmmm..Yummy. :devilish:

Looks like they're trying to attach famous personalities to the faceplates. Get your so and so official fan faceplate or something. The reception party went off pretty well from the looks of it. I'm kinda surprised to see Kojima there though, after the MGS4 CELL jokes I would imagine it'd be pretty ackward, no?

Looks like a nice cafe to sit and grab something to eat, see what new and coming out... seats look uncomfortable though.

Well I'm sure they don't want you to hog the seats for hours at a time considering they're trying to sell games and consoles vs Lattes.

OooOooO Is Kojima a married man? *bashes his eyelashes*
Do Japanese wear wedding bands on their left finger? I know that Germans don't...according to my German ex. Secondly...a married game developer??? Yeah right. If he's married, it won't be for long...

Secondly, what's he doing wasting time at this event? Doesn't he know that Kutaragi want's every waking moment of his to be devoted to MGS4?! Or maybe he's spying...

I'm not sure myself but a single silver band on his ring finger it would seem like it. Maybe hes just trying to thwart off raving female Metal Gear Solid/ZoE fans :devilish:

There seems to be so few kiosks for trying out games. Obviously understandable at this point, but eventually 360 would have a good library of games tho. The Sony store in SF Metreon has a bar where people sit around and basically try out any game they ask for, along with standalone kiosks.

LOL!

Well atleast they filled the place up, after offering free food.

I was at the Tokyo Game Show, and the Xbox 360 booth was packed, but when it comes to actually buying the console, is a huge chasm for MS to cross with the Japanese public. Good luck with that.

This was a smart move on Microsoft's part - the way to win the Japanese over is to present the 360 as something stylish, something cool.

I'm not sure how packed this place will be, but that would serve as a pretty good barometer in the coming weeks of how 360 might do in Japan. The more packed, the more people that will be interested in it. The less packed - the more people will think it's 'uncool.'

That all-glass wall was a bold play on their part, but it will definitely get a positive buzz going if people walk by seeing the place packed all the time. Of course the converse is if it's empty, you're not going to want to be that guy that goes in and is playing by himself.

Anyway smart use of money on Microsoft's part. This generation all their advertising is viral, which I'm sick of as far as the web goes, but hey... at least I think that descending spherical 'X' from the ceiling is a winner.

I don't know about that . From what i understand at tgs gamers were going nuts over that 4 year old game that was both on the pc and hte ps2 and were flocking to it by the truckloads .

So ms may be able to sell alot of the systems just by that one ff game

I really like this halloween one . It be cool if they make an xmass one and u can change it with the seasons . That be my only holiday decoration haha

Actually, it's not a halloween plate it's a Habanero plate... it's an internet pop culture thing... sorta. I'd explain it, but I'm not too certain on the whole thing myself.

oh its still pretty cool.

I'm not big on the face plates but i think a net cult following will be built up. HOpefully i can get a nice custom one made. My friend does air brushing so it might be possible . A cool green lantern one where the symbol is around the ring of light. That be hot .
