Wipeout HD [PSN]

looks better every time i see it. if they can keep 60fps & online smooth (i.e. avoid GT5:p's issues) this should be a big hit.

God damn it!

I want to buy the UK version not the US version so the online wouldnt lag since I am in EU!!! :(

I can't help but feel disappointed. Hopefully they add it back in as an option with a huge disclaimer or something along those lines.

Unfortunately, it appears the mode has been seriously toned down, most likely to pass epilepsy tests. In our preview, we said that the floor textures would respond to the music playing in the background, changing color suddenly when appropriate. The reactive floor textures have been removed for the final version of the game, and now Zone mode looks much more sterile.

Thank you. At least they did the same for Gran Turismo 5 Prologue. They released it on PSN and Blu-ray Disc. So from this standpoint it could be possible ;).

Somehow it's a pity. A Blu-ray Disc likely has more appeal than a download. Especially when it is not for free.

I know like to own stuff. You know, so it's tangible. But I love the convenience of, for example, Warhawk from the HDD. :)

Thanks for your reply :D.

There would be no reason for not letting the user install the whole game to the hdd from the Blu-ray Disc, wouldn't it ;)? Microsoft will allow it for Xbox 360, too in their next dashboard update.

To be able to play your PSN games you bought and downloaded, your PS3 often has to be connected to the internet and to be logged in to PSN. So why not allow Blu-ray Disc games to be fully installed to the hdd, so that it won't be necessary to read any data from the Blu-ray Disc while playing, but still having the disc to be inserted to be able to play the game from your hdd.

Just like what Microsoft will be doing ;).

Releasing WipEout HD on PSN and Blu-ray Disc would be better :D.

To play PSN games it's often required to have an internet connection and that sucks ;).

Anyway, are there some PSN games you don't need to be signed into the PSN accout you bought it from to be able to play it?

I thought almost all of them? The ones that support online ask if you want to sign in for online leaderboards or online play, but you don't generally have to be signed onto the PSN to play.
