Wiimote 's technology

I have personnaly high expectations on Wii's 2nd (and 3rd) generation of games from a playability point of view.
I wonder if the technology inside the Wiimote will make them possible.
One example : with my wife and son, we enjoyed douzains hours of tennis with the game included in Wii sports.
As far as my wife and i have progressed playing this game, the situation has became quite frustrating because my 10 years old son is a killer ! (and destroys us whenever he wants).
What is frustrating is not the fact he beats us but rather the way he plays :
he only makes slight (10 cm) ultra fast wrist movements, forehands and backhands are made the same !! (grrrrrrrr)

Imagine my wife and i trying to make the "right" tennis movements, but the results we have are from far not as efficient as those of my son.

See my question ?
Is it possible we get some tennis simulations ? Do the technologies inside Wiimote make that possible ?

To some degree. The tracking in Wii Sports is rather simple actually. The problem is that the accelerometer in the WiiMote only has a range of +/- 3.6g... That's pretty easy to exceed if you're treating the controller like a racquet...
