Wife and I just got a new car

The 350X is a novel idea but it is overpriced for what you can get through the competition. The power is nominal at best and it's not exactly easy to get more power out of it. I guess through a superchager or one of the twin turbo systems it can be brought to a more fun level of power. I would definitely get something over that in the same price range.

How's >600HP & >700Nm torque with 2 LP large diam Garrett turbos? The first derivative was undrivable without traction control enabled. Apparently, it had a tendancy to skip sideways off the road. Recalibration, ECU revision & exhaust mods resulted in a totally stable, tractable & highly drivable vehicle. I can't say I like its rear styling though - in common with my turnover car of choice...

Edit:
If you're into hardcore-sporty kinda driving, you'll go for the M3. If you like best of both worlds, balanced between sport and comfort, you should go for the SLK55

well the question is will it fall within my pricerange? I'm beginning to think not... however, the SLK350 is... but I want the AMG :'(

The prices here are 43.400 EURO for the SLK 350 and 63.970 EURO for the SLK 55 AMG, so you can calculate the diff in $$ ;)

Should be about the same in $ over there.

THANKS! The MSRP of the AMG has not yet been announced over here. The SLK350 is about 48.750 so I'm guessing the AMG will be a tad out of my pricerange..... but I'll certainly drive one and see if it's worth waiting for.

And, yes, the Honda S2000 is definitely on my list of cars to drive. RIght now I have a '93 Honda Accord. It's a gread car, and I wouldn't be opposed to another Honda.

The S2000 is a peppy little car that offers nice handling. The little thing is rev happy and that's how you have to drive it. When you test drive one don't be afraid to rev it all the way to redline as that is how you will get the most fun out of it. My friend Sama has one and recently put a supercharger in it. Before the SC the thing had no low-end grunt and she would have to rev up to 5,000 RPM to get any type of power out of it. After the SC that thing screams from as low as 2,500 RPM's and takes out stock Vettes, and she even raced a 2003 Viper. She lost by three car lengths from 60 - 120 but that was a really nice loss.

A cheaper mod than the super charger, though I think I know which one she got and that thing is seriously nuts, is a rear spoiler, not for looks, but actual downforce, the extra traction at the rear wheels make a noticable difference, even though the engine is mounted behind the front axel, there is too much slip at the rear wheels.

Mind you the S2k might be a bit much for many people, the RSX TypeS is a decent alternative.

The RSX isn't exactly what screams sport when you're talking about cars in its class. A FWD 4 cylinder just doesn't do it for me. It would probably be a neat daily driver and one that can be opened up at times but there are much better options available in the same class. Of course the creature comforts and interior are amazing for the price so that is always something to consider. And that 6 speed tranny must also be buttery smoothe.

She does have a rear spoiler, not a rice type one but one that is part of a body kit. She only has the spoiler and it doesn't look bad. I do not know if it actually does anything for her. The car is screaming fast fro what it is. I know it's not a quarter mile car but when she took it she got a 12.67 and her trap speed was 114 MPH or so. That is pretty decent accelaration in my book. Of course looking at the timeslip you can see her buddy's car get an even better time. One Acura that doesn't need a supercharger but complements it well is an NSX. I think it was a CompTech Supercharger or something like that. 11.4 at 125 MPH. Now that is a nice time.
