What's the best 3D solution for 3dsmax viewport ?

Hello,

I am currently working on an architectural article. The topic is about drawing floor plans. I know how I can draw that floorplan, but I also would like to model in 3d.

For that reason, I was looking into 3dsmax.

A friend told me, that after creating the 3d geometry, it would be also possible to see within the viewport the model pretty real.

But he also told me, that I would need a specific Graphics Card and I have to make sure that I use the correct Graphics Card driver.

Does someone know which graphics card would be the best for a fast and photoreal preview within my 3dsmax viewport ?

Any decent dx10 card wiil do the job (max supports cuda and thats only available on nvidia cards)
if the card is good for games it will do the job
nv cards fastest first in 3ds MAX iRay
GeForce Titan
GeForce gtx 580
GeForce 680

Nvidia Quadro 6000
Nvidia Quadro K5000

ps: be aware quadros are mega expensive eg: many times the price of a consumer card
