What's RSS?

Ok so i've been around a few aeons, i've seen them all... But this new thing has been bugging me for a while now and i still don't know what it is...

Now all the biggest websites have a nice flashy link for "RSS Feeds"... And i have NO idea what it is, what it does, if it benefits me, if it benefits the rich but not the poor, if it's a new cool term, like "iPod Video"...

And obviously, it's much faster to type all this post than to search google...

Pretty much, but if you look at the link I sent you can see that it can be quite a handy thing to have. All my bookmarks are stored on del.icio.us rather than on my machine, the links on my machine are just to the rss feeds on delicious that contain my actual bookmarks.

And it's easier to integrate data from multiple websites. For example, supposed that you want to view news from various news sites. You can read them one by one, or you can integrate all their RSS feeds into one page.

Yep. I love RSS. Cant believe I lived all these days without RSS. Maxthon's implementation of RSS is quite decent.
