What are you playing now? [2025]

I played a bit of Killzone 2, wanted something similar but modern and was lucky that Robocop got added to PS Plus Essential! Feels very similar if you play in graphics mode. Maybe I should even get a PS5 Pro for higher res etc?

The trick with Ubi games, is to always skip one to get the next.
I haven't played Origins, and I loved Odyssey.
I skipped Valhalla and I'm really enjoying Shadows.
Same with Far Cry.
Would you consider the Avatar game to be a Far Cry game?

I mean, sure it says "Avatar" in the title and has the setting from the movie, but for all intents and purposes it is Far Cry: Blue People.

No idea, I haven't played Avatar.
I did play Outlaws, although that one does stray a bit from the classic Ubisoft formula.

Im right before the final mission in AC Origins, so I´m doing random stuff on the map. This might be my favorite open world in a game ever. The landscape and every location seems so unique and hand crafted, its a joy to explore. Some times you run into a random tomb with puzzles, like a mini Indy game inside the gameworld.

I thought Avatar was pretty good fun, the parkouring and combat are good but the slightly preachy messaging was a little grating after a while. But I still dip in everynow and then for a good explore.

Still playing AC:Shadows - I'm an explorer so I haven't got that far with the main questline, but I have uncovered nearly all the map. It is a really good AC RPG game, though I still prefer the look of Oddessey, that always seemed to flow more naturally and NPCs seemed less stilited than Shadows.

Also got hold of South of Midnight on the PC - neat game, bit old fashioned, and repetitve but might be fun for casual drop in sessions.

And I forgot that I've just completed Atomfall and started on Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn but it didn't really grab me or my attention.

The story was absolutely horrible.

I mean, the basic premise in the game is humans are going back to Pandora AGAIN, only this time it's for old fashioned petroleum oil? I would love to see the economic system and energy infrastructure where that makes sense at any level.

So the story can basically be summed up as Humans are bad. Oil is bad. Pollution is bad. Killing humans is good.... Except for the humans that want to help you kill other humans, but once you get past the tutorial section you really don't need them anymore.
