it's light weight but pretty deep story.
Much better than the last film
"lets find a place full of water and greenery,
damm the place doesnt have any greenery.
No worries I know where theres greenery
"Where?"
the place we started off from.

It's a great game though, but it will make you realise ubi have a "how to make a sandbox game" formula and they are following it to the letter

Mad max is an Avalanche game, not an UBIsoft one.

oops,
It is following the ubi sandbox formula though.

edit:
while checking ubi sandbox games I was reminded that watch dogs is a ubi game and I thought to myself
I wonder if you have to climb towers to unlock new missions and guess what...

No towers in Farcry Primal.

edit: Farcry not Fallout. Sheesh!

Rimworld. On the surface it seems pretty similar to Prison Architect but Rimworld managed to capture my imagination where PA did not. I like that I've only a few peons to worry about and I think the learning curve and UI is a more newbie friendly. Really it's quite a different game despite some of the look and feel of it.

Rimworld has such great characters, even though they're RNG. I find myself reading every snippet of backstory for the people in my game.

Before I bought it in a moment of weakness I thought that the >£20 price tag was too much, going on the graphical fidelity and that they're in Early Access. Feels like a full game with nothing missing, and so far it's been well worth the money. I guess you could call it a cross between Factorio and The Sims. Whatever it is it's very addictive, and some of the interactions and events in the game have given me a good chuckle, and others have left me slightly horrified. Very engaging stuff.

Still going through my games, re creating the shortcuts and making sure they work
I had lots of problems with prototype windows said I had to get a version compatible with this pc
turns out instead of creating a shortcut to the exe and putting the shortcut in the startmenu
I put the exe in the startmenu - Doh....

Finished Shadow of Mordor the other day and all I can say is do not waste as much as a buck on that shit unless you like your endgame being nothing more than an impossible to fail quick time event. Talk about a lame ending.

The game isn't horribly bad but there are just so many little things that are annoying. The controls are not quite right. Sometimes you want to drop down but the controller isn't listing, or you suddenly can't climb up a wall but if you move a bit to the left or right you suddenly can. This mostly happens exactly when you don't want it to happen. Combat is rather lame as well, mostly button bashing and not a lot of skill or tactics required. Especially latter on in the game you get overpowered. There isn't much of a story either.

It tries to imitate the Batman games only it's doing a rather poor job of it so if you already played the Batman games don't bother with this and if you haven't played the Batman games yet spend your time on those and not this.

I've now started The Evil Within. Played for about two hours and it looks like this will get pretty good. Feels a little bit like RE4 meets Alan Wake. One big downside is that this game is a technical mess. I'm getting a steady 60fps but it feels like there is a lot of microstutter, its 60fps but just not really smooth. Changing settings or running at 30fps don't make a difference. The game is rather crash prone as well. But if its good I'm willing to live with it.

After TEW I will have to find some time for Witcher 3, haven't played that in months after spending 180 hours on it but I'm far from completing it. Hopefully I remember everything I was doing.

The best part of TEW is the first couple hours or so. After that it's still good but degenerates into more of a shooter with plenty of ammo. It loses most of its suspense and horror elements when that happens, which is what made the first couple hours great.

I have to recant my earlier post. This game is shit. The controls are clunky as fuck. The camera is so shit that you can't see shit, something made worse by the fact the game is too fucking dark even with the brightness cranked up. You just can't see anything. I don't have any clue how to play this game either. Wherever I go there are a shitload of enemies. You can't fight them because melee doesn't do damage and you don't have enough bullet (and it takes 4 fucking headshots to kill something), can't outrun them because your character is slow as fuck even with the massive 3 second "run" run stamina. You can kinda do stealth but the level design is fucked up and as mentioned earlier you can't see shit so getting anywhere is very frustrating.

I honestly thought this game would be good but its a pile of shit. Don't know if I can be bothered to even try and get further to see if things change.

I'm playing "my summer car". The game is about summer in finland, being broke and trying to build a shitty old japanese car. You literally have to build the whole car and tune the parts. It also is open world so you need to make some money and you can go do "stuff". Also getting killed is pretty easy, especially if you go drunk driving.

It's indie, low budget and surprisingly frustrating yet amazing fun. I highly recommend my summer car.
