Bought BLOPS2 from steam. Played SP for an our or so...really really good so far. Feels somehow fresh?! Nice!

Graphics are console graphics...only cool thing: TXAA! Best thing since sliced bread, that is for sure!!

MP good as always...

Tokyo Jungle was finally eclipsed by Dragon's Dogma. Shockingly deep for a JRPG, and shockingly strategic for an aRPG. Impressed!

Been trying to get through my lengthy list of games I bought on Steam for when I built a new PC. Just finished Crysis 2, which was quite boring to play but visually amazing. Some of the cinematic sequences were just incredible in realtime.

Now onto AvP for some more FPS fun. It's great being able to play these titles at max detail.

After disconnecting my G13, Darksiders accepted to notice my MS Gamepad so I can at last try the game. It is quite pleasant.
I'm just upset about those quick & dirty consoles ports who can't find a pad between a G13 and a joystick... that's really silly.

Just finished Dishonored.... really enjoyed this title. It had 'great atmosphere' (just like Half-Life 2) which other games lack.

Wife picked up Dishonored and Sleeping Dogs for $30ea black friday (PS3 versions though...) so I'll eventually check them out.

Actually started playing Assassins Creed on my PC since I have upgraded components and a xbox controller now. Playing it on the big TV with some nice AA. Going to go through the series up to 3.

AC3 on PC, Pre ordered FC3 on STEAM CANT WAIT,
Also i have been playing IV, Its so physically beautiful all the animations and reactions make the game GO ALIVE.

Yeah I think I got the first two (Assassin's Creed and Far Cry 3?), but I have no clue about IV..?? For all I know it may be representing the Roman numeral 4, which still leaves me clueless.

BTW unless it's super obvious what you're talking about it's good to spell out your acronyms at least once in the thread before using them..

I'm about 8 hours into Rage and having a really good time with it. Maybe things were different at launch but I don't really understand where all the hate is coming from. The 8k texture tweak helped with muddy textures but otherwise it works great out of the box.

The shooting mechanics are solid. The environment and characters look great. Voice acting is good. I thought the driving element was well done.

The weakest point has to be the story. It's non-existent. Other than that it's a fun game.

Two or so hours into Far Cry 3 ... liking it so far. The thematics are basically just another teen movie, but it's a fun, good looking open-world shooter with dynamic day-night cycles, etc. It's a surprisingly polished game, and surprisingly gamey at times, but the sense of freedom (though at times marred by 'mission borders') is pretty good.

I thought rage was a great game. The only problem is the really disapointing ending, don't get your hopes up there!

Baldur's Gate: enhanced edition. Been a little while since I played this classic, so I'm rather glad it was re- released.

I finally got castle crashers on steam, the game is amazing. Portal 2 as well which is also wonderful. I picked up alan wake too but i havent had a chance to play it yet. I love steam sales!

Currently playing: Planetside 2 (difficult to get in), BLOPS2 MP (good as ever), FarCry 3 SP (so far, about 8 hours in and the game is very good), Borderlands 2 SP COOP (start from beginning playing as Sirene together with Commando...tons of fun, one of my most favorite games...130h in).

Hi guys, I'm kind of purposefully doing an OT but it is not worse it to open a new thread.
Christmas is coming, I've a hell of a time finding present for me... (/that my wife would offer me). Came to think of many things but nothing really cut it. I decided to go for games as there is a significant number of games I passed on since I sold my 360 (actually I missed quiet some of them when I owned it).
I'm looking at pretty cheap games (so that mostly excludes too recent games), I kind of made a list and I would appreciate pov on those titles.
*Darksiders (it is a given as I liked the demo back in time on the 360)
*Darksiders 2 (really interested into that one, input welcome I've the feeling that reviews haven't done it much justice/ I can wait as it is still a tad expansive and I will have the first one)
*Batman Arkam City (great review but I never finished the first one on the 360, so I'm iffy)
* Titan quest complete edition (really interested and cheap (like 9$) but I'm scared to run into compatibility headache as I run windows 7, I don't want headaches...)
*kingdoms of alamur (really interested into that one but the lack of support has pushing close to a"no thanks")

Overall I like action adventure games, I'm not into multi player, I've a tough time dealing with FPS of any sort, I'm really wary about a game (which I know is amazing) like Skyrim, I tried Oblivion at some friend's place and I never got into it (I'm close to the aversion to say the truth). Anyway Skyrim is still too expansive.
I know that games as Fallout 3 are great but for the same reason as Skyrim, I think it is safer for me to pass.

I could go with a good (&cheap) racing games, may be something ala need for speed with a lot of race from point a to point B, not interested in the sand box type (like the last one, most wanted). Suggestions welcome.

I could go with a sand box games, I've wondered about Prototype 2, Sleeping dogs looks nice but it is still a tad expansive (I try to go with games =<20$ so I can have a nice collection of games to play with for a quiet a few months), GTA4 is dirty cheap but the complete edition is not available but still I guess there is a lot to do with the original and plenty of mods are available.
I'm a bit wary about GTA has I'm not attracted at all by violent and realistic games, I don't really care in fantasy/scifi set-up but I've a strong distaste for gratuitous violence (I saw a CoD where you shoot a guy through his neck and I was floored), I more than often disable blood and gore effects (did in GeoW). I don't know gta still sound like a must have to me, I'm not sure what to do but a sand box could definitely fit into my lists, advices welcome.

If somebody have an idea that doesn't fit into the category he/she is welcome, it is difficult to keep in mind of the releases and some really good games sadly go almost unnoticed.
