I think he was saying the ps4 will win the next gen because MS is abandoning core gamers.

However, the act of including casuals to their gaming platform has in no way abandoned core gamers. Xbox360 still appears to be the 'goto platform' for games like COD.

I think both Ranger and I got that.
Point is we don't know the ps4 and next Xbox specs just now, we have no reason to assume that MSFT is not going to focus strongly on "core console gamers". It's super speculative.
I would not assume that MSFT is going to let Sony any significant advantage on the hard pov if any at all (and it's not about a marginal difference in FLOPS).

Imo somehow both MSFT and Sony "hardcore console' gamers by having such a long life cycle for their products.
