Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection

Am I going to get be nauseated by Uncharted after playing the 3 games in a row?

BTW, approximately how long is each game?

Please do not play on easy and rush through. Ppl might say the opposite but the games do not have amazing stories or something, its the whole "Fun gameplay which keeps you on your toes and smiling all the while" which makes them special. So, if you want to enjoy an Uncharted, please at least play on normal and have fun.
Enjoying two games fully will be more rewarding than just pressing buttons through three games and being bored cos there's nothing exciting to do in it.

Not really agreeing here. Sure, the stories weren't exactly ground-breaking, but the delivery certainly was. Well, at least back then it was. I'm sure Uncharted 2 will hold up very nicely in that regard despite its age, though. On the flipside I never thought the gameplay was ever anything special. The shooting felt okay at best, the enemies one-note and dumb (even for enemies in a shooter), and the traversal was so scripted and linear it might as well have been relegated to cut scenes. At higher difficulties the never ending enemy waves just got more resilient to bullets, killing the snappy pace in the process.

I loved these games for their presentation, but the shooty-bang-bang parts were always rather underwhelming compared to what you got from competing products like Gears, Resistance, Halo, or even Killzone.

Yes, U 3 compares rather favorably to Gears 1. That is certainly true. Besides, it's just my opinion of course.

U2 also, which was better than U3, and I remember I like it a lot better than Gears 2 also. Can't remember the Orginal U1, been too long but its getting tweaked with U2 shooting anyway. The only thing that I don't like about Uncharted shooting is the T rating holding it back, so it didn't have body dismemberment like Gears and any M rated shooter. Infact TLOU was my favorite but I think now its The order.

Stories were nothing great, characterizations were. As for gameplay, I always found Uncharted games to be the best in TPS. Fast, snappy and fun ! Also, the fun is not in the story but in playing the levels. The pacing fantastic and the special moments well placed. "Watching" an UC game would be very boring to me, it was the thrill, the ups and downs of excitement while playing which made it so special.

I'll start with UC2, since I played UC1 twice last gen, once after they added trophies.
I p[layed UC1 three times, UC2 two and a half and UC3 once(all other time went into co-op) ! But, yes, I will also start with 2 and then move to 3. 2 was very special, the shooting in 3 was a bit wonky and unsatisfying.

I played each game once, with few replayed intro chapters of U2 and an hour of U3 when I tried it via PSNow [it worked great].

I will play them all again on PS4.

I'll play them again in the perfect reverse order of my first experience with the PS3 versions.

So I'll play UC1 then UC2 then UC3. :yep2:

Cinematics feel kinda weird at 60fps. Gameplay's better, but... that 'motion blur' is kinda bad...

Much better actually now that both gameplay and cinematics are 60 imho, much more coherent whole.

Why does the ps4 version lack contrast? New fill lighting? But even then the sunlight intensity is much lower in the ps4 version and kills the whole contrast and vividness of the games. :(

For example:

You can check any area, all the ps4 footage has a very low intensity sunlight and lacks contrast completely.

Can be limited RGB output (ND are notorious for messing up the black levels of their trailers/gameplay demos), and surely the new lighting makes things look less cartoony too. You can see the same thing in Uncharted 2 too.

I believe the guy took the PS4 video from ND and tried to recreate the scenes on the PS3 with his own footage. The PS4 video is probably not captured well. Time will tell.
The PS4 demo I played of Uncharted 2 at ComiCon looked very vibrant and colorful btw.

Yup, nothing wrong with the contrast. I played the Nepal level at Gamescom and it looked as vivid and contrast-rich as I could remember from the PS3 version.

Thats relieving to hear cos all footages out there suggest bland contrasts for both UC1 and 2......yes,Limited RGB could be th eissue here but funny its coming from official source. I the first showing of UC4 also had the same issue.

The second U4 showing too, the E3 demo direct footage had washed out black levels and a green tint.
