i wonder if there is only one path in the car chase section, because if not there will be a lot of failed attempts before finding the good path.

the even crazier thing is, those awesomely detailed physics objects probably only used once or twice. Because Uncharted love to move from one place to another.

btw there is vegetation pop in in the gameplay trailer. albeit very minor

@Karamazov
probably lots of "correct" path. and probably these "branches" wont be available for all levels.

but if it does available on all, wow...

We know that the game is taking place in Madagascar , my hometown, certainly on the coasts near the sea but I couldn't recognize the city they were inspired by.
I tried to see some picture references on google but couldn't find the exact spot unless this area is from elswhere.
They really nailed the iconic details of Madagascar there, red brick houses and red terrain/soil as well as the rice fields. You can see the malagasy flag on some vehicules and characters shoulders.

In the gameplay demo you can see the currency " AR " for Ariary.
Here is what the marketplaces look like in the main capital ( Antanarivo )

I live in France and was born in Paris but my parents comes from Madagascar too... Yes it is Tana...

Man those character models are approaching offline CGI renders, I'm just so glad all the cutscenes transit seamlessly to the gameplay now all in realtime. The experience will be so much more surreal this time.

AH cool. Well I can say it's not Tana but maybe a mix of some cities ? Tana is in the center of Madagascar and that setting looks like it's on the coastside by the sea.

Superb. Physics, graphics, animations, AI more similar to TLOU, destructive cover that involves sense of danger everywhere, more open worldish... But one thing I would like they improved: when shooting enemies the lack of blood makes it lack a little of feedback/punch, also doesn´t help that when you do the first shoots with the pistol they have almost no physical impact feedback (it has that pew pew feeling). This has happened in all Uncharted games (curiously not in TLOU, maybe in part because you used a revolver and not a pistol) . Now they have a full physics system that helps greatly in feeling bullets weighty impact, but this doesn´t translate when you shoot to NPCs.

By the way talking about shooting, The Division went from being the benchmark in the first reveal trailer (it seems it was not realtime gameplay after all) to ordinary in the last gameplay shown (not even talking about graphics).

Looks great, really looking forward to this. I agree that the shooting could still be tighter from what I saw here. Game is still a year off though, which is pretty amazing. But the multiplayer beta isn't that far off, so we'll get an earlier look at if the shooting has evolved there at least.

Yeah, but i want to think someone from ND read us!.
If not blood because it doesn´t fit with the game mood, make at least physics do the job (above all having such an awesome physics system in place). The first shoots with the pistol (with the AK-47 bodies react faster so it doesn´t notice so much) is where I think comes complaints from people about the shooting being boring, no punchy. If you shoot in the body, they should take the hand to the body, displace a little the body, throw down to the ground for cover...

Amazing stuff.
buttttt...
ok, a minor nitpick I spoted, in the driving section, when the short cutscene is triggered where they spot the guys they're chasing, the jeep transitions into a canned animation, and the jeep's antenas physical swing is interrupted abrubtly.

-ok, that was it, I'm gonna go kill myself now.

It's pretty clear the car chase only has one route. Don't know what would make you think otherwise. The gif with the Jeep shows choice, but it you watch carefully the truck with the gun stops effectively blocking off the 'choice' every time it crosses in front of you.

Only one part looked like you could go another way, in the water chasing his brother where it looks like he could've gone straight on and joined the road, but he went left through a chain link fence, I don't really call going one side of a house as opposed to the other really an alternative route.

You nitpick and yet completely miss the fishtailing start, on a 4x4 jeep. ;)

Doubt it has the power to even spin the wheels on dirt seeing as it's so slow.

Easily the most OTT game I've ever seen, action dialed up to 11. Not my sort of game but Why can't they bring something as good as this to the PC, something that feels like a living breathing world.
though I don't know if I'ld rate this over 'Dreams'
