Uncharted 3

Nebula are You sure? Because for me its real-time. Look at the shadows on Drake, they're flicker and are aliased in these scene, but on sand scene they're not.

BTW PSN trailer

On gameplay section there's sub-pixel aliasing flicker on chandelier [fire scene] but rest sections are clean, so it is probably MLAA.

Edges in trailer and texture/shading aliasing, and shadows breaking up in certain angles most likely due to the type of lightsource and shadowmap res used for it as opposed to sun lightsource shadowmap res. Seen this in lots of games and for example in Crysis no mather how high shadowmap res is for sun it wont affect shadowmap size for non sun based lightsources, it's hardcoded or in the shaders. Though you can shadows alias in certain angles non gameplay desert area/part depeding on distance.

EDIT: Saw I could take screenshot of video type with TMT3 (some formats dont allow screenshot feature). Anwyay got some shots from res I watched it in (1680x1050) to test out quality of program and upscaling ( :D ) and also noticed that all video parts except gameplay area at end are of much higher quality, like 1920x1080 or higher downscaled while gameplay part looks like 1280x720 upscaled and much lower IQ.

Here are the shots though video was 1280x720 2-3Mbit but the screenshot feature captured them at fullscreen view thus at 1680x945. In the desert body closeup, the time change is seconds but look at the planes engine rotor.. something strange happening? :p

I still don't understand why they don't use motion blur on the cutscenes. Obviously is not due to technical limitations.

Maybe problems with super sampling? IIRC I've never seen a frame by frame generated Crysis video nor screenshot with OBM when they been using super sampling (non realtime fluid rendering). Might be effect is distributed/accomplished over several frames and doing frame by frame offline rendering (maybe by tiling to) dont allow necessary data to be collected to do OBM. The final part of video though shows gameplay with OBM on Drake.

I didnt notice anything. What did you see?

Well cutscenes in Uncharted don't really look like they couldn't be done in real time if ND wanted them. Look at Resident Evil 5, the cutscene quality is tremendously better than ingame yet its real time.

I vaguely remember one of the interviews mentioned that they recorded the cutscenes as movies partly because they are easier to manage. Once done, they can move on to something else.

They also had some problems with the train segment. I think ND mentioned that there were some close calls (Things completed later than expected).

Amazing for PS2 ! The 1:59 water effect in the U3 trailer is more fluidal and natural though.

I thought Sony has some event today ? Are they going to show more ?

I don't have high hope for Jimmy Fallon following the demo script, or completing the segment without dying. ^_^

The MGS2 scene does remind me that NaughtyDog should make a Solid Snake skin for Uncharted. Should work especially well if they have stealth play for the third game.

Anyone noticed that sully looks....young ?

I did but Drake looks the same, so Im just guessing that it has something to do with the updated models

anyway, the game will have destructible environment?

If Elena is in the third game, then it cannot be a prequel -- unless she plays a different part.

If Sully looks younger, then I think it's more likely that we will see more intense action from him (co-op ?).
Just a wild guess. Can't remember anymore, did they say this game will have 3D ?

I think they did mentioned that all cut scene for U1 were pre recorded to avoid any memory management. When U2 teaser was first shown, they did demo it again at some press in real time and rotate the camera to prove to everyone that its real time. And somewhere they mention it was suppose to use the same lighting and shaders etc from the cut scene and in gameplay. But that first teaser lacks a lot of graphical effects that are in the final game, guess the in game lighting and shaders are still not good enough for what they want in cut scene. If you look at this

they did improve the cut scene at some point.

Doughnut Snake?

Full campaign coop is a must for this to be real progress. just like U2's online coop, only the whole story end to end, would be a blast.
