Thanks a lot ! Looks completely different from the youtube shit :D ! Oh ! The water on the ship floor, the pool and water flowing inside :D ! The lighting is gorgeous ! I do have to say that there seem to be too many jaggies !!! I don't remember so many jaggies from UC2 :???: !

Hey ! Why is the gamma getting all messed up in the browser :cry: ! The shadows are much brighter when I view these on Irfanview from my HDD ! Never saw this happening before, how can browser or imageshack change gamma of the images??!?! captured using MPC from the video in the link above.

Looks okay on my side. What OS and monitor are you using ?

I love the part the water started to swell, the room tipped over and Nate fell into the water.

the MLAA definitely need some tweaking. Hope they can get FXAA into the game before it ship. Clean up those sub pixel stuffs. But it can soften alot of detail.

Water physics simulation here is just pure porn for me, i'm a sucker for all kind of physics. ND definitely delivers on physics and lighting ground, both are outstanding.

... only if it changes gameplay for me ! In this case it's used as story element so I guess it's good too. ^_^
Can't wait for their fire and sand physics. They said fire will affect gameplay by consuming the level over time.

AA is far from great at this point of development (or at least in showed builds), but this is ND and their games are always getting pretty big upgrades in last few months of development :)

Yes, Too much aliasing in the gameplay demo as of now ! Lets hope they can sort it out !

Have they changed the AA method for UC3 ? UC2 used what 2XMSAA ?

I'm keeping myself in the dark with UC3 news, but just wanted to say I thought the E3 demo was fantastic, can not wait to pick it up.

Are you sure it use MLAA? MLAA generate artifacts in the subpixel not that aliasing... it's a bit bizarre... maybe ND has disabled the MLAA in the fine edges? The SP seem almost no AA in some point...

GameTrailers New Tech Interview:

[gt]715817[/gt]

Talks about the highlights of the trailer from the lead programmer's perspective.
Didn't say anything about AA.

... says there are more amazing and cooler things in the future. ;-)

Funny, the gamma of those screens is fine if I view the page in Chrome, but messed up in firefox 4, which I normally use ;) !

I've talked about the MotionScan tech restrictions several times here, patsu ;) They've actually invited the ND guys to have a look as far as I know.

Yeah but you also know techies never stop pondering about possibilities. Is it really a deadend, can it be improved ?

Also too bad the tech interview keeps talking about difficulty without telling us what exactly he's referring to.

It's not a dead end, it's just a solution so specific that you can't apply it to any other kind of problem.
The guy in the video said it right, it's like a 3D video recording and playback thing. Anything you can't shoot with a camera will not work with this either.
They also didn't like that they'd have to cast actors not only on voice and movement but looks as well. Imagine if Drake would have to look like Nolan North. Oh and Desmond in the AC series, too, and any other game character he does voice work for.

But the R&D has already begun to extend it to body capture though, so that the head movements wouldn't be out of sync with the rest. I'm not sure how far they can take that aspect but even a little help would do a lot, particularly for the conversation scenes. LA Noire characters still can't make any kind of eye contact.
