ACTIVISION JOINS “THE NEXT GENERATION†WITH THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF
TRUE CRIME 2â„¢: STREETS OF H.K.â„¢

Santa Monica, CA – February 28, 2005 - Activision, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATVI) is taking on the Russian and Chinese mobs again with the announcement of True Crime 2™: Streets of H.K.™ for the next generation consoles. The sequel of the #1 best-selling title in aggregate across all platforms on Holiday 2003 in the U.S –according to the NPD Funworld Report- thrusts players into the role of Nick Kang, a no-holds-barred badass, whose brutal reputation and lethal skills made him to take down the Chinese Triad and Russian Mafia cartel that had turned Los Angeles into a war zone.

Gamers take part in explosive gun battles with double fisted firepower, devastating martial arts brawls, and high-speed shootouts on the breathtaking streets of Hong Kong. The game's unique branching missions include locating hostile witnesses, infiltrating criminal-infested locations, taking out evasive informants and busting the heavily armed and deadly bad guys. True Crime 2â„¢: Streets of H.K.â„¢ has not yet been rated by the ESRB.

"Mission-based driving and action adventure collide in this bold new direction for interactive entertainment," states Ron Doornink, CEO of Activision Publishing, Inc. "Infused with the unique flair of Hong Kong action films, True Crime 2 allows players to experience everything they’ve already experienced with True Crime, but with stunning visuals and physics no one has never seen beforeâ€.

Developed by Luxoflux Corp., the creators of the successful True Crime: Streets of L.A. and Vigilante 8 series, the game blends multiple genres into a new cinematic action game. More than 30 branching missions and 120 sub-missions lead gamers down dozens of possible paths and outcomes. Featuring a powerful 3D engine for next generation consoles, True Crime 2â„¢: Streets of H.K.â„¢ allows players to move freely through a 300 square mile living, breathing re-creation of Hong Kong. Players will be able to visit popular H.K. landmarks, or buy services from local gun merchants, mechanics or doughnut shops and improve Kang's abilities by visiting auto simulators, dojo's and gun ranges around town. True Crime 2â„¢: Streets of H.K.â„¢ is slated to ship in 2005.

Will it be 30fps, or 60fps? We won't know until it gets close to release. That would be pretty neat at 60fps, though.

People say its old and fake..... IGN posted a news story stating that it was indeed fake and so did Activison them selfs....

Only problem is all of those storys about this being fake have been totaly removed from both sites......Which leads me to belive it is real and was just leaked early. I think someone nabbed a early video of this game that was not ever intended to be released to the public and was just for press and or internal use only. I also think they grabbed the offical press release for this game and leaked that as well. My guess is that Activison was indeed planning on announcing this game, just not now, mostlikely at e3.

We have got press releases from MS for games that were listed in the actual press release it self that were not supose to ship till almost a year later. So compaines to make press releases very early for titles and sometimes they get out to early too.

WOW

I can't wait for next gen games if that's going to be the quality graphics. Animations looked great from the guy picking up the boxes.

Speng.
