Trailer from Naughty Dog

Has one of the devs said that ? because that's not what i have read mon ami

Honestly, I cannot specifically remember 100% where I heard it, but I'm pretty sure it was a interview with Ted Price somewhere around TGS or Gamer's Day saying that both games are built around the same engine, and that obviously since Ratchet is not out until well after Resistance is released that the engine will be much improved over Resistance.

I'll look around and try to find it. But I'm interested in what you have read about Ratchet & Clank.

insomniac did only use some parts of ND engine ,and ND used back some features added by Insomniac.
Both are very good at engine tech.
Insomniac did built Restistance engine with their next games in mind (that's a so obvious fact,i shouldn't even mention),so R&C next will inherit that tech.

Just a tiny update - the game without a name, now has a name: Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. SCEA filed for the trademark a little while ago, and more tellingly, it's listed as one of the projects of a Naughty Dog's creative director, on PS3 (see the end of this page). Thematically it fits with what we've seen also - Drake's Fortune is likely a reference to a lost silver treasure of Sir Francis Drake, Uncharted ties in with the map imagery in the trailer etc.

You can pray they might show something, anything, at GDC where a couple of guys from Naughty Dog are scheduled to present on RSX techniques. Maybe they'll show some technology from the game, or demonstrate it. Oh, and pray someone will be there to feed to the wider world whatever will be there :p

Of course, it's possible they show nothing specific to their game..

Cool, thanks a lot. I saw that sterling chap gofreak post this at GAF too... :)

The facial expressions and some of the other animations are quite impressive, but does the guy have to wear such a lame outfit in the middle of the jungle? It does reminds me a bit of 90's CGI.

Great! This with the R&C (and Afrika) were my favorite demoes of E3's past.
This year should be interesting when it comes to news on new PS3 games.
It's not just GT5, MGS4 and FFXIII. It's been looking a bit dull when it comes to new PS3 games to wait and anticipate. It's about time for Sony to convince the PS3 will be worth it, you know... we do buy the PS3 for the potential and the promise ;).

What about Jak and Daxter?
Every generation ND seems to change to a new franchise. They could still be cooking up another J&D or let another developer do the IP for them, but it seems they are focused on this title for now.

I wonder how old those screens are. To me, the E3 screens look alot better. These new ones have alot of fogging and it seems that most of the plants don't cast shadows like in the E3 screens.

Info on gaf suggest they are around 5 months old. Dunno how true that is, though it makes sense with the 2005-2006 date still on the Portfolio.

These were actually taken from the Environment Lead's resume, which would explain the focus just on the environment instead of them being "PR shots":

The exif data claims they were last modified 9/19/2006, so about 4 - 5 months ago.

I wonder if SCE may be pissed about this...

Also, larger screens here:

Hey anyone notice the "Paused" icon in the bottom right of the second pic and the "11" in the top right corner of the first two pics? I guess we can squash any realtime debates before they arise. Could that number be fps?

I resent that!

I know these ar not PR shots but it's still a bit dissapointing to me as the screenshots from may 06 are better looking i f you compare shots like this:
