Tomb Raider

I can't, in good conscience, buy the DF version without there being additional content of some kind. If they threw in a few additional bonus Tombs to raid I'd be compelled to buy the game as those were some of my favourite segments in the game.

All the DLC included.

I must be going mad, but I can't find the game yet on both my local PSN nor the UK one. Any one know where it's hidden or is it only going online tomorrow (31st) in European territories?

ya, it releases on the 31st.

BTW, can anyone tell me if this artbook thingie is in all boxes or is it some special edition. HOw amny pages does the artbook have?:

If it is in the standard box out there, then this is the final nail in the coffin and i just lost $60 ! I have held it off till now, but I can't resist posters and artbooks and the images look cool  !

i think it's digital artbook

I don't give a damn for Digital artbooks. i want printed, like the one that came with Infamous !

BTW, found this:

So, there is an artbook edition and a non-artbook edition. Its like UC3 special edition that I have, the case itself is like a book.

No idea if it costs extra as the front of the box doesn't say anything at all, looks like the regular box. Confusing. I don't want the regular box now !

Here we go guys, this should be more than enough to make your minds up over which model you prefer:

I must admit, given this comparison the DE takes the edge for me. It's the eyes mostly which are a lot more realistic. That said, in many instances I find the original version to be more attractive. Maybe it's the older look. Or perhaps the fast that the DE one gets a little deeper into uncanny valley.

Whichever you prefer though it's extremely close.
Laura Jackson aside, I think we agree the new Lara looks better. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, they say, anyways.

I decided not to buy the game day one --maybe later when on sale. It saves me 60€, I have 15 Xbox One games -of which I am playing two on a regular basis- and I have other priorities now, expenses wise.

Still.... This game shows some very promising things on the gameplay department of what's to come in the future. :smile2: Nice job Eidos!!

I can't wait for new gameplay experiences, because it's the early days, but I am so hyped to play adventure games and other genres with a new approach on the console. :smile2:

Just ordered a copy (PS4). Had some cashback from paypal and some rewards at a certain store here in Canada. Paid about $14. Looking forward to playing this again.

Ditto. I had preordered the disc version on Amazon but cancelled it a few days ago when it was revealed the size was just 15Gb. On my way home now and I've just ordered and started the remote download to my PS4. Took less than 90 seconds using Sony's iOS app.

Excellent.

So yeah, I look forward to any future game to outdo Lara's face model and hair of course. I wonder how much further ingame model can be pushed in this gen.

That face looks great !

Btw, just checked my psn store and the digital version is almost $20 costlier than the physical version over here ! WTF SE ?!?!? All sony exlcusives were $10 cheaper on psn, but this is actually costlier ! Costs around $50 in retail and almost $70 on psn !
Must be an error, hope they correct it and make it cheaper.

Unfortunately these are from my share button, I suppose Elgato would make them even sharper.

Ah, thats good news actually, because it means the actual game looks better. There is a noticeable loss of colour range in the share button screens. It put me off from uploading more screens from my ps4 as they lose quite a bit of the (any) game's beauty.

Just started playing again. The framerate makes a big difference to the feel of the game, when you have a torch and the flames are touching the ceiling they pool out like water. Very realistic.
