TitanFall [XO,X360]

Hmm...watched the demo just now...looks like more of COD with Mechs in it now. Fast paced gameplay and hoards of points, etc. Unless it offers something more than that, I have had enough of those.

I don't know what went wrong, I was looking forward to this for so long now and I don't even like the graphics at all. And all seems a lot like COD on steroids. Maybe thats good to be that way. I hope it replaces COD as the MP king, cos these guys surely have talent when it comes to fast paced MP gameplay.

I hope the PC version gets a beta or a demo ...

I don't know. The wall running, double jumps, wall jumps and vaulting over obstacles should make the gameplay fast and vertical. Sort of like COD + UT/QUAKE. Then you add the mechs with customization in. I think you can see the roots of COD, especially in the speed of the game, but gameplay should feel significantly different than just another COD.

Yup sure ! It does feel like the evolution of COD. chk my post in the COD thread. This is definitely a step up from COD. I see it replacing COD for kids. but it will still have the same problems of unbalancedd powers between players, the killstreak powers and like, now that the mechs are also in.

Maybe its the years I have spent with Quake 3 and later UT and then all the other MP games that makes me look for more than that. The reason I prefer BF these days, as the gameplay is more about options than speed and perks.

But considering I love Mechs, I was expecting to like it. The wall jumping actually gets me excited too. But overall, I can't shake the COD DNA in it s gameplay. Hope there's a beta or a demo.
 
I definitely excel in the BF world more than I do in games like this. BF is more about teamwork and strategy. This is a pure twitch game. I'll probably suck at it, but I think I'd like to try it.
 
i wonder about the physics in this game.

does enemy/friend die if get crushed by titan fall? o_O
does building collapse or the roof make a hole when titan fall on them?

I don't think there's too much physics going on besides ragdoll. I didn't not see any deforming surfaces in the gameplay. This is going to be more of a traditional arena style shooter.
 
The game play looks similar to COD, which isn't a bad thing at all. I think the MP is going to be a lot of fun. Pretty sure I'm in.

It's supposed to be a 1 year timed exclusive I think.

At least CBOAT says and I think Respawn's language to date has implied same. They dont say "never PS4" they say stuff like "right now we just wanted to simplify and focus on one console" or something.

That's because you want to play it on PS4 but can't...I mean if you don't like the visuals why would you want a PC demo?:???:

Anyway the game looks badass for a supposedly outdated Source engine...

Interestingly Sess asks about the cloud, she says it's used for physics, AI, and dedicated servers.

Nice to see the fairer sex on stage too.

Kinda wish they'd leak more details on that, curious how it's put to use. I wonder how many people will defect from COD to this game. COD Ghosts looks weak so far whereas this game looks somewhat more fresh and interesting.

To try out the gameplay and buy if I like it? THey are one my favourite devs, so Stop imagining things.
