Titanfall 2 [PS4, XO]

So either the game plays worse than the first one, but the same for everyone else -or- everyone gets dedicated servers, at EA's expense.

On the other hand, this could be MS' moment to shine at E3; they can offer free cloud services if Sony allows Xbox One players to mix in/ play with or against each other... A good trade: Xbox gets a healthy community for the games in this partnership and Developers have less server costs. PS4 gamers get more dedicated servers. Everybody wins!
(It could be epic!! imagine PS4 vs Xbox matches..)
MS has never offered free cloud services. Lol I don't know where you got that idea. The developers/publishers foot the bill for network costs.

Well ... no. It could quite easily be neither, and something different depending on platform.

Yeah. MS are only going to eat the cost of Thunderhead servers for a game if they get something out of it.

Lol yea I'm not sure what that entails. I assume they foot it for their own published/first party titles but they didn't even do so for third party exclusives like titanfall 1. Would have to be a lucrative deal for them to foot the cost of a cross network deal for a game that would continually add traffic to the network for the entire lifetime of the game.

There is no such thing as a free cloud server from MS. Never was, shows how marketing can change the perception completely. They just offer Azure and support for azure, which is widespread but devs have to pay for it and can choose whatever other service they want to.

The game will be same for all.

hrm... not sure what to expect from that.
Would like to see upgrade mechanics at the least.

I played the multi a bit on a trial thing - it was fun, but didn't know anyone on PC who kept going with it.

You can frakin grapling-hook other players, even those who ejected from their Titan! Should be amaze balls fun.

Fairly sure at launch they did conform there was some cloud compute provision made for free for Xbox one titles.

In fact, we even give them the cloud computing power for FREE so they can more easily transition to building games on Xbox One for the cloud.

SP did excite me a lot! Looks very cool to me and somehow gave me a unique feeling. Did I get it right that the Titan's have some sort of life-like human A.I.? Cool!

Correct,

For developers developing on Azure is free. When the title goes into production MS does charge for bandwidth from my understanding unless the game is first party.

Looks extremely good to me, could only watch on my iphone...hopefully it looks good on a big screen?

Gameplay seems to be very exciting and super dynamic.

Curious about the lore.

Can't wait!!
