That strikes me as a thoughtless, gittish act. You'll be screwing someone else over, cannabilising their console. I'd be extremely miffed if someone stole bits of my hardware and gave me 'old and inferior' instead. But then, there's a lot of thoughtless gits in the world who'll happily screw someone else over if it benefits them...
