We've acquired a test report containing pictures of the outside and inside of the Nintendo DS. Click to see this exclusive material!
The document we got our hands on is based on the first publicly introduced version of the Nintendo DS (also known as the E3-edition). Since the device hasn't changed that much (apart from the looks), this might be an interesting read...

Let's start with power supply of the Nintendo DS. Fully charging the Nintendo DS' battery will take about 3 hours. The battery itself can be recharged up to 500 times, using the Nintendo DS AC adapter.

God, that was TEH LAME!

A pic of the BATTERY and a small portion of the circuit board, christ. They didn't even include any of the main chips for chrissakes.

Only real observation I can make from these teh lame pics is that Nin seems to have changed their logo AGAIN. It became more 'modern' and square with the Gamecube, and now it's even squarier, at least the 'o' at the end. Compare with the logo on the top cover on a GC or a controller... It's rather subtle, but quite visible.

Isn't it obvious that it's just the DS specific logo? Right below, is still the old Nintendo logo, the way it has looked the last 20+ years.

Boring. Please notice the fat PRE PRODUCTION on the battery! The retail thing will probably be different.

Well its to be expected that it got more juice, after all it has to keep up with another screen and WiFi. I expected more than 860 mAh (which is rather small for NDS class device), but then again a bigger replacement battery are probably going to be inexpensive, so its no big deal.

The chips are probably optimised even more for power now than in the GBA SP. Anyone knows if the main processors are all on one chip or discrete units? The stoopid pics in the thread don't ACTUALLY show the circuit boards properly... o_O
