60 sotry levels (not SP, as you can play together!)? IIRC the mentioned numbers were 50 levels and 50 minigames, which I think are pretty loose numbers.
it's more like ~25 levels and ~30 party game and lot of tutorial practice

On the Media Molecule site Kenny, the LBP audio geezer, posted a piano vid and we discussed a little bit about an old-style tracker, which he said he had already made. IMO the only difficultly would be assigning pitch in an easy way without needing one block per note per sound. A machine could dispense notes when a button is pressed. Other controls could scroll the song (conveyor/machine).
That's what I was thinking, but I don't think those numbers had ever been publicised.
I made this for Shifty but whoever wants it, it's a quick run-through of the beta edit tools with my lousy explanations. It stops suddenly because my camera sort of went into powersave or something, but most stuff is on there I think.
Sorry if rapidshare sucks, I haven't used it in a while ...

on videos you can see there are 8 worlds and 3-4 level per world and ~4 party games
Thanks for the info. It doesn't sound very feasible to me, then, and a time waster. We would need an editor like the one included in Guitar Hero World Tour. But I'm asking for too much here.you need one speaker per note, they can go anywhere they don't have a massive range tho so the wiring job for speakers to fill a level could be a lot of work. you need an emiter for each note in a piece which could be alot of work. you also need to figure out which block to emite and into which track since one track can only handle 8 notes.
After spending about 5 hours with it today, I'd have to say, content creation means 0 to me and it'd be fun to play a user made level on occasion but it's the actual single player I want to know about. Is there a story of any sort and how many levels? I'll be strictly looking for that feedback in the reviews. I'm basically looking for SMG level platforming and single player.
The game itself is rather cute with lots of options but I'm not the type to sit there and make a level in any game, ever. I just like to play the game. User made levels are cool. I played Heist 1 and Hiest 2. Both were good but still can't hold a candle to the actual game levels in terms of presentation. I'm sure some nutjobs will put even more effort in! but still that's a crap shoot.
One weird thing I noticed. There seems to be some sort of motion blur and it's really distracting once I noticed it. It's not resolution loss on the set.

OPM UK review:
10/10 !
I'm inclined to think that if a magazine won't give LBP a 10/10, they don't have a soul.
Also, from the review it is clear that MM can also put fully formed and beautiful 'proper' 3d objects in there ... lots of beautiful examples to be seen. If they give that power to users too eventually (maybe through PC support, or some additional object editor), then wow, that's going to allow for truly georgeous stuff ... and things look so great already.
Is there a party system or something in the game? where a group of friends can go from level to level together and have fun , like MGO !!
So, the game looks up my friend list and incorporates it in-game? Thats cool! (I think HAZE had that )
But I can have new friends inside the game? or is it completely tied to my friend list, as in, a guy has to be in my friend list to be in my LBP friend's list? Like I make a friend while playing the game, can I add him in my LBP friends list ? or does he get added in my PSn list automatically too.?
Base quaetion: Is the LBP list and PSN list same or different?
PSN list is the same as the LBP list. It's just presented differently in the game, which is really cool by the way.
Here's one of the pro level designers at work ... neat stuff in there!

I also liked the tip on neogaf that you can use r1, r2 and up/down while glueing something to determine to which plane you glue things.
