Only thing somewhat surprising was the Platinum Games exclusive. But that was rumored at GAF for a while. If it's the exclusive GAF insiders knew about, then it's rumored to be a timed exclusive.

Pretty good conference though. Not much gameplay shown, but they clearly showcased their game lineup this year and in 2015.

Whole lotta CG trailers up in this joint. Looking forward to a bunch of delays from MS next year.

I missed the first 30 minutes... was there anything interesting?

Not a single surprise or megaton.

OTOH, I guess a lot of the games looked pretty hot.

Good focus on games. They are back on track imo...nice.

Announcing new games with CGI is so old

Very odd that Quantum Break skipped E3

Where was that major third party exclusive at huh?

Hey, guys, remember last year when people speculated that Microsoft snapped up a bunch third party exclusives and it didn't happen?

They tried really hard to relate the message that they listen to criticism, and that is good.
I have to agree though, not nearly enough gameplay.
And the division still looks great.
I wonder if it will look that great upon release. :p

It's not odd they already had their own announcement and full coverage at gamescon.

No unexpected megatons. So it's all over.

Not really, it was announced weeks ago that it would show at Gamescom not E3.

But it still felt weird not to see it so I get where you're coming from.

Well I was expecting the downgrade this showing. The fact it wasn't is encouraging.

I think they can do it. Ground up next gen, with lots of development time. Literally no other game I can really think of offhand fits that pedigree. It could be an early example of true next gen.

Light on surprises but overall pretty strong showing. GJ MS.

eh , they showed enough that interested me for this year and early 2015. The majority of cgi games they showed still have another e3 at least to go through.

I like the strong focus on upcoming stuff. I hate when they show stuff 7 years away like last guardian and stuff like that

I do know Microsoft has more games in development then they showed.I wonder if they are saving some ammo for pax prime and gamescon.I think they are also saving a few titles for E3 next year.

    Interesting,
That cloud based physics engine for X1 [announced here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QxHdUDhOMyw], that particular showcase looks quite like the city scape seen in crackdown 3 video, especially in the end where the ball passes through the building.
