I feel like these games they claim are horror, are mostly action. Or if they are horror, you walk around or hide, rather than get confrontational.
The new RE games are not that good, because the story is a chore to understand. It makes you appreciate the classic era even more. Plus, they have the RE4 action added in, after initially claiming the horror is back. But it seems like Capcom says that to lure the OG fans in. That's a bit deceptive.
One thing I noticed is that the plot is mostly self-contained, but Chris Redfield plays piggy in the middle to other characters now, just so there's a notable link to past titles. Otherwise, it's hardly feeling like they are games in the same canon.
