Midway today revealed the first concrete details of Stranglehold, its high-production action game for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC, a game the publisher professes to be the spiritual successor to John Woo's action classic, Hard Boiled.
A third-person action game promising acrobatic gunplay action, movie-like camera angles, and what Midway is calling Massive Destructibility ("Massive D", and yes, they trademarked the term)

Funny thing is; Max Payne played off of John Woo's Hard Boiled, and this game essentially his sequel to that movie.

All attitude, all opinion, very little information....and yet I want this game more than practically any other next-gen game!
:D :D

IMO it will be better... a Max Payne style with next gen graphics and physics , massive Destructible environmets and beautiful art direction.

AFAIK there is not a HD trailler yet. But searching at the net i found this link by chance with the 640x290 trailler.

Just a reminder, the topic is: STRANGLEHOLD*New screens/info

Also, may I remind to some of you folks that calling anyone names is not more tolerated than actually derailling the thread with uncalled for remarks.
Same thing, do not address useless remarks, since you'll only create more noise.
Only thoughtful posts, and preferably technology related, are expected from the posters, even in this sub-forum.

It LOOKS pretty neat I have to say. The visible aliasing makes me believe this is actually in-game gfx, and not mock-ups that have been touched up in various ways.

Not sure I'll agree much with the game itself though, I really don't really enjoy titles where you have to shoot up actual people anymore, or at least not as much as I used to. Dunno if the increasing realism in graphics, or the general increasing brutalization of our society is getting at me, maybe both. I find it vaguely off-putting to go around and murder people for fun, even if said people are "bad"... That's why I don't buy WWII shooters either btw. There you're not even killing "bad" people, just regular joes who are unfortunate enough to wear the wrong color uniform...
