As far as I know this mode also existed in Battlefront II from 2005 or so. I think its a great mode and yesterday I was lucky twice to be the last survivor who could even escape in the spaceship. That was very intense when everyone's chasing you.
This game got a lot of updates since my last post (new major game modes, many new maps such as Geonosis, new classes, many new Heros (Obi Wan, Anakin, Grievous, Dooku) etc.).
The last update added a lot of offline/coop gameplay.
Especially the coop mode is spectacular.
Coop and the newly added offline basic game modes are significantly better than the campaign. Offline battlefields should always be preferred to singleplayer campaigns for such a title. The AI is much better than I expected.
