Sony PlayStation VR2 (PSVR2)

I have used iVRy with PSVR1. I just used it with VorpX and a gamepad. It works quite well. You can run it at 90 or 120 Hz, supersample, etc. But since they don't have access to information about the headset's optics there is some guesswork and they can't make it perfect.

I wonder if Sony might eventually release drivers in a similar fashion to how they delay release their games on PC now.

an official PSVR2 PC support released together with GT7 PC would be amzing

For players who owned the original game on PlayStation will be able to upgrade free of charge when it releases at the end of the month. The Room VR: A Dark Matter on PSVR2 will feature higher resolution assets and visuals, and support for rumble.

It looks like the lighting was simplified. Pre-patch was much darker overall, the flashlight was required to see in the darkness, and the fire colored the adjacent boxes. Was that the trade-off required for the increase in resolution?

Dont have game so cant say much more but read on reddit that hdr is now much better (dark is perfect now, guy say its one of best hdr psvr2 games) and generaly people says patch is awsome and change a lot in terms of graphics. Edit: btw devs said they used fsr and foveated rendering in this patch

Finished Hubris. If it was only flat game it would be 5/10 at best as low budget and junkines is visible. In vr however its other story, had very nice 7h with this title. Environment is variant, swimming underwater done good, optimal gameplay proportion for climbing, shooting etc. Can recommend to everybody who liked Dark Matter atmosphere but prefer more actions than puzzles. 7/10

So in the video, the new one is on the left or right?

Because the one on the right, labeled as before, not just looks better but the lighting design also much better.
the one that is blurry mess and have low res textures is old, the one that is sharp and has deep black is new ;)

Sharpness wise, the left one, belled as new.

Deep black wise, it's the right one, labeled as before.

I'm very confused lol

Looks better?? It just has higher contrast.

I'd say the old version is suffering black crush and lack of atmospheric lighting from dusty environments. One also can't compare HDR output on LDR displays - PSVR2 might be notably more atmostpheric without being simply brighter. Although the old one does look too dark IMO and detail would be obscured, to dark grey on PSVR with it's not-great black levels.
