Sony E3 Conference to last 5 hours?

This year, Sony will be doing something different, due to the huge number of games that are sure to be covered, and a major focus on the NGP, their E3 event will last a record breaking five hours.

First up is the conference, and then there’ll be a special event afterwards.

Sounds like the 5 hours is for the entire event rather than just the conference itself. Im assuming a couple of hours for the crowd to get hands on with NGP will be part of it.

I heard they scheduled 5 hours to allow proper time to sufficiently make amends by kissing every butt in the building.

Ok, I got nothing. NGP demo time sounds like the real reason.

Most of that time is to allow all the attendees to pass through a TSA administered security screening before Sony's presentation.

Yeah it's not like 5 hours of the good stuff (aka traditional e3 conference we all know and love). That would be retarded and cause everybody to fall asleep.

I think sony will want to move on from the ps3 as soon as possible at this point

Doubtful I bet they push the NGP very hard. If they are just now ramping up R&D costs as per the other thread the PS4 is still a ways off.

Even if they'd reveal a PS4, that wouldn't take 3 extra hours. For sure they won't have a PS4 playable, that would be a bomb!
Just regular 2 hour conference plus 3 hours to test the playable NGP and new games. I'm pretty sure previous years have been scheduled similar 5 hours total. There's no reason to get hopes unrealistically high so that the Sony E3 conference could be called a disappointement if they don't make a PS4 revelation.
