So... What do you guys feel about the DS, so far?

I wasn’t too exited about it at all. The last and only handheld I have is the GameGear. From the photos I’ve seen it looked funny and the graphics looked average.

I went into a local EB Games earlier today to pick up DOA2: HC and while they where ringing it up I asked if they had a DS on display. They did, in the front entrance. I picked it up and was amazed at its size, its pretty shape, and by its AMAZING sound and graphics! I still don’t believe a mini handheld could pump out goodness like that. It was low quality PS2 type graphics! Also, have any of you played Metroid on it? Have you seen when Samus (isn’t that her name) was rendered on both screens? AWESOMENESS!

The technology looks interesting and unique. The games, on the other hand, seem to be lacking a bit in both quantity and quality, (with a few notable exceptions). Hopefully by the time I get back to the States there will be a decent library from both DS and PSP and I'll be able to make a decision between the two.
