So is the Phantom history or what???

It seems like ever so often these guys stick their heads out of the hole and announce something then go back into obscurity.

I'm only curious though, but if anything, it sure is living up its name :p

The Panthom is what its name, a phantom. I don't know what happened to it, I haven't heard anything about since late last year. But if I have to guess, I guess it got carry away from the hype surrounding 360 and PS3. Even though it's targeting a different scene.

With the previously announced specs it would have been hard-pressed to run even last year's games, much less this year's, and with the continuing and ongoing delays they'll be a$$raped even by MS Minefield for Longhorn... ;)

If phantom's ever going to become anything at all, they need to drop the hardware aspect and become a content delivery system ONLY.

That's a really good idea. It would even make the name fitting (as more than a joke), because of the intangibility of their product. Phantom really could work as a standalone Steam-alike.

I think at this point they've burned through so much money that it will be impossible to change direction. IMO it was doomed from the start.

They produce the hardware so they can control the content delivery system. And don't expect anything until fall. I thought this was old news not to expect anything till then.... (as in no delays and this is the planned timeline)
