Size of PS3 Controller

That "idiot" is probably wearing the glove because he's setting up the E3 display for PS3. They don't want smudgy fingerprints all over the displayed devices.

I'm sure the idiots that set up the xbox360 displays also used gloves and handled them like "prescious jewels"

Of the controller: It's much smaller than I thought.
I really like the PSP controllers smaller buttons, and that the circle, cross... are much closer together than in the DS2. If they use similar setup in PS3 controller that would make it better.
I kinda like the look too. Looks a bit odd, but I prefer odd over generic :)

PC your bias is clouding your view of everything these days. I think this pic for me shows that the controller isn't as bad as people are making out to be. To boomerang sticks looked long at first, but this picture makes it look smaller.

The controls seem nearer together. I like that the DS2 aenables me to use buttons and sticks conveniently. The GC controller (borrowing a friend's) is more ergonomic for primary stick and buttons, but the D-pad and C-stick aren't so readily to hand I find.

I looks like DS3 (?) has squeezed everything together, but I'm very dubious. I like DS2 :(

I think the original pictures that where floating around, that showed the controller all by itself did not do it justice. The thing is really reallly small. The other pictures made the controller look HUGE. I don't mind the batarang look...I just hope they bust out with something a little different....

I'm fully aware why that idiot has the glove on ie he's a wannabe MJ, but the controller doesn't seem to have a glossy finish so I think the fingerprints won't be visible anyway UNLIKE the PSP with it's glossy BLACK finish. ;)

Clouding my view? If this was how Revolution's controller looked, I wouldn't have a problem with others saying it's FUGLY because it IS.

Why are SONY fanbois so defensive?

Hey the guy might just have had a trip at the local KFC. That is the first time PS3 was seen in public, they can't risk lard fingerprints everywhere, gloss or not!

What's worrying is that they seem to be wool gloves... in May?!

The curve might well be a lot more ergonomic than more angular handles. Probably something one needs to try to appreciate whether it works or not.

It's easier and more time efficient to just bash it without ever having seen it in real life or having held it in your hands, don't you see?!!

Me a fanboi, yeah ok. I don't have to lie about what I know the truth may be like others. I mean come on man you called the buy a idiot for wearing gloves and touching the PS3 conceptual design controller. Maybe just maybe it might be better once some people including ourselves hold it in our hands and play games. They should have some games playable at TGS so...

Please, you two are just as bad as each other. One will bash anything Sony related till he dies, the other will bring in Sony or the bloody Killzone demo in every single discussion sometimes for no reason.

Now calm down or you'll get this thread loicked too.

Just on the whole topic of "big hands", this is a pretty good estimate of how it compares with size of DS2.
That's very small... or is the curved surface making the buttons look smaller? But the sticks look really tiny. I know the labels at E3 read 'concept design', and I think the final unit may end up bigger than that.

As for looks, DS > everything else. Symmetry is beautiful. :p
