Rogue Leader III pics will be out today!!

Hmmm, I'm coming off with more of an underwhelmed response. I don't doubt it will be a highly anticipated game for the GC, nonetheless.

If this is F5's project that's supposed to blow Halo 2 out of the water.. well, Julian's got some explaining to do ;)

Seriously though, it looks like the co-op will sell this game (assuming it exists), rather than the graphics (which are nice, but by no means "bitchin"). Glad to see F5 working on gameplay though.

edit: anyone ponder the fact that by regurgitating Star Wars games, F5 can effectively slash their dev time by an order of magnitude, simply because of reusing art assets / inheireting them from ILM?

Can't wait to see some high-quality screens.

Love the look of that forest level.

Yep same here. I noticed that pic of the Hoth level says the terrain is 16 times more detailed and it was already detailed to begin with

Star Wars :D Can't wait.

So many Star Wars games. But its one franchise that you can milk since that its design :)

Here's another high quality screenshot:

First, those pics that megateto posted are from the .pdf, which quite obviously has the colors all messed up.

Here's a ton of info from the article (copy and paste):

-Character models have been created perfectly. Han Solo looks great. You will be able to play as Luke Skywalker in every varioation from farm-boy Luke to Jedi.

-Two campaigns, either Luke (more ground missions) or Wedge (more air missions)

-Control an AT-ST through the forest in Endor, shoot the enemy and command your Ewok troops.

-Just about every scene from the Star Wars classic trilogy, including those famous lightsabre battles.

-Death star bonus level, where after you freeze Leia, you fall into the trash compactor (as the movie goes), and you gotta solve a jumping puzzle. Then when you have escpaed, you go into first person view and use your grappling hook (a la Zelda) and swing across, to "recreate fantasy".

-It won't rehash ANYTHING from RS2. E.g. you won't blow up the Death Star, and you won't tangle AT-AT's with a rope and speeders.

-HOWEVER, every single mission from Rogue Leader (including bonus missions) will be available to play in a multiplayer co-op mode, with improved graphics from the original.

-Speederbike missions through forest recreated. You can be on foot and hit the enemy on speederbike with your lightsabre at one point in the game.

-Landspeeder racing on Tatooine.

-Near DVD quality footage from the original Star Wars trilogy to intro/outro scenes.

-There will be a mission on Geonosis from Episode 2. The picture looks beautiful.

-Versus multiplayer mode (dogfights), and "capture the base" mode. This will be for at least two, and possibly four players.

-Kamikaze A-wing attack on a Super Star Destroyer. If you're good enough you can do it without comminiting suicide, or hit the SSD bridge.

-16x the terrain textures over the first

-120 TIE fighters on screen at once

maybe if you remove Bill Gates buttcheeks from your lips, you might be able to see it better..

maybe if you remove the chap hate from your mind, you might be able to see it better..

I am not saying its bad looking, just that graphically, it looks quite similar to RS2, at least from the current screens.

If they can keep that kind of detail, fix the framerate, add more enemies on screen, and add a multi-player mode I'll be more than happy with a sequel to one of the best looking games this gen.

Oh wait all of those have apparently been added. :)

Ummm thrown in a cameo by Jar Jar Binks falling to his firery death and then we have a smash hit on our hands.

The frame rate would fall VERY reliably in about 2-3 places in RL, but otherwise it stayed at 60. What's to fix?
